It is too expensive for the Indians. The facilities do not match the price. The rate is fine for foreigners.

We had 2 days in coconut lagoon and I don’t recommend it if you want to see the backwaters. For context, we solely came in Kerala to see the backwaters. Therefore, upon check in I ask the front desk to help us book a tour boat on a local boat to see the canals. They reply yes. I then reply that I also heard we could have lunch on the boat, they said yes and that is called a house boat. I then replied that it was good with me and we booked a 4 hours cruise. End of the conversation. Fast forward next day, it is time to take our house boat. 2 hours in, I notice that we are in the middle of the lake. I inquire the captain and he tell me that those boat cannot go in the canal…. Back to the hotel I complaint that this was our only opportunity to see the canals we came from abroad to see and ask them why they booked us a tour on the lake without telling us. They replied that they told us that this was for the lake only ( which they never did ). The other issue is that if you actually go on Google, you will send plenty « houseboat » going in the canal, I also saw the boat we got, leaving by the canal once we got off the boat and saw plenty of houseboat in a canal on our way to the airport. End of the story I never got to see the backwaters we came from abroad to see and I still don’t really understand why this scam was all about. Lastly wifi don’t work in the hotel and the ac goes on and off.

The pool villa was like heaven on earth. Very beautiful property

The location. The property is extensive, with much to slow down and soak in. Utilises the natural and local environmental and cultural practices.

The stay is expensive, perhaps needs to be to maintain exclusivity but it is certainly on the higher side.

Everything.... Location, architecture, cleanliness and the consious choise of natural materials used (repurposed materials) esp. worth mentioning. Kayaking & paddle boarding and the sunset cruise was simply good. Culturals was another highlight. Live music .... simply good!

(Rather a suggestion) Lightings at the culturals podium could be improved. Surface is not even in the courtyard in frt of the main dining hall. There is apx 2 feed wide trench like space between the main dining area a d the outdoor seating /courtyard with low light ( at night). I think its a health and safety hazard for ppl could trip and fall like my mum did on the evening we arri ed (Thank god it was not serious). The aircon and the fans were in perfect shape... yet at night it felt a bit hot where thebed was while it was really cool around the rest of the space.... not sure if the placement of the bed vs aircon had something to do with this.
