Staff were brilliant! Very accommodating, friendly and helpful. The meal in the restaurant was fantastic followed by a drink in the very homely bar area. Stayed in the main building which had a large bedroom and bathroom.
The pre-arrival options were slightly confusing. I was looking forward to a breakfast after having such a nice evening meal but Bankton House unfortunately don't offer breakfast. That said, the staff did point us in the direction of a really nice local breakfast place.

We loved the woodland setting, the room was amazing with everything you want or need for a getaway
Not a complaint but the room was very hot during night but solved with opening windows

Nice building and grounds. Bar onsite wasn't that loud. Bed was acceptable and room was nice.
I checked in online and then started receiving emails offering early check in for a price, a nice basket for a price. Some wine for a price etc. I deleted all of them since I was trying to enjoy the area. Apparently, one of the emails also contained check in instructions. There really isn't anyone there to help check in upon arrival. I am not a fan of this anyway but compound this with multiple emails and now I was tired and frustrated trying to find the right email to get into the room.

"Wir fühlten uns wie in einer anderen Zeit. Wir hatten ein großes Zimmer, ausreichend Ablageflächen und Kleiderschrank. Das Bad war groß, mit Badewanne. Das Essen im Restaurant war unglaublich lecker!"
