We really enjoyed our stay at Kouneni Apartments. The location is excellent—right in the heart of Mykonos Town, within easy walking distance of restaurants, shops, bars, and all the main attractions. The Wi-Fi was excellent and very fast throughout our stay. A special thank you to the manager of Kouneni Apartments, who was extremely helpful, professional, and friendly. Our original room was quite small and the A/C was not cooling properly. Once we explained the issue, she was very understanding and helped move us to a larger and much more comfortable room with a properly working A/C. We really appreciated her assistance and the way she handled the situation. The room was exceptionally clean and well equipped with everything we needed, including a coffee machine, kettle, fridge, and some welcoming bread and biscuits. Our second room also had a lovely balcony overlooking a beautiful garden, which we really enjoyed.

One important thing to know before arriving is that cars cannot enter Mykonos Old Town, so you may need to walk some distance with your luggage. Our airport driver dropped us at a parking area around 300 meters away. When I contacted Kouneni Apartments, they helped arrange a tricycle to transport our luggage for an additional fee. This saved us a lot of hassle and was definitely worth it. There is no elevator, so luggage needs to be carried upstairs. There was no dedicated person available to assist us, but thankfully, the housekeeping lady kindly helped us carry our luggage to the room, which we really appreciated. There is also no bidet/Muslim shower in the bathroom. Our original room was very small, especially with several large pieces of luggage, and the A/C was not cooling properly. Fortunately, the manager resolved this by moving us to a larger and much better room. The style of the rooms is a little old-fashioned, but everything was clean, pleasant, and well maintained. Another thing to consider is the nighttime noise from nearby restaurants and bars. Because the apartments are right in the center of Mykonos Town, music and nightlife can continue until late. Light sleepers may find this difficult, so this is worth keeping in mind. My Recommendation If you are traveling with several pieces of luggage, I would strongly suggest booking one of the larger rooms. The smaller room can feel quite tight once you have your luggage inside. Overall, we had a very good stay. The fantastic central location, exceptional cleanliness, fast Wi-Fi, and especially the helpful and professional manager made our experience much better, and we truly appreciated the way she took care of us.

The location is perfect: very central while still being peaceful and well soundproofed. The owners were exceptionally kind and hospitable, making us feel very at home.
