A little bit distant from Valle de Cocoras and other sites.

My wife and I thoroughly enjoyed ourselves at Hacienda Bambusa and I would recommend it to anyone visiting the area. It is in a very rural area in the middle of amazing terrain. Every view was spectacular and the bird watching was mesmerizing ( I don't even bird watching). All of the staff is incredibly attentive and made us happy to be their guest. A special callout to the office manager, Paula. She can give a masterclass on 5-star hospitality. She not only greeted every guest as they arrived, but she made sure to remember their names and check in with them at least once every day. Her warm attitude definitely spred to the remainder of the staff. We also adored our English translator and guide, John. The is contracted by the hacienda and provided us two days of enjoyable activities and company.

Even though I highly recommend this hacienda, we did not 100% love our room. Since it rains all of the time and is surrounded by plants, the smell was a little musty. We befriended 3 couples who stayed on upper level and they adored their rooms, so I would recommend asking for one of those rooms. I still give it 5 stars because I could not imagine staying anywhere else in the area.

The venue, very beautiful, well kept and comfortable. Delicious meals and a variety of additional plans to choose from. The property and staff facilitated the kind of quiet, peaceful environment that I was looking forward to.

the property in itself is lovely and worth spending time in and enjoying. the staff is super attentive and helpful. I would recommend doing touristy things such as coffee tours and valleys before coming to bambusa due to its remoteness. we did it all before and enjoyed the cycling, the farm and pool at bambusa.

the food service was a tad bit slow but they are working hard to improve it

service was a 10. from the minute you arrive in the parking lot they are waiting to greet you with hot hand towels and juice. then you’re given a tour of the property while they take your bags to your room. the staff made me feel like I had my personal concierge 24/7. best hotel I’ve stayed in Colombia this far. rooms are clean and big. TV’s are new and big , AC works perfect, showers are massive and good water flow , which is rare in Colombia, every meal we had was exceptional.

missing signage to arrive to the location. most GPS won’t work, but Google maps did. the road to arrive to bambusa feels like you’re driving through a Warzone, full of pot holes and you may need an SUV to drive around , a small car might get stuck.

Everything is absolutely idyllic about this 180 acre estate. It has a soul, is extremely tastefully decorated and the staff have all understood confidential luxury. Congrats.
