Our stay at this beach lodge was nothing short of extraordinary. From the moment we arrived, the warmth of the welcome set the tone for an unforgettable getaway. The location is an absolute dream—stepping directly from the comfort of the lodge onto the sand, accompanied by the rhythm of the waves, offered the ultimate sense of tranquility and luxury. What truly elevated our experience to world-class was the exceptional hospitality. The host was incredibly accommodating, friendly, and genuinely attentive to every detail, ensuring we felt completely at home from start to finish. Nothing was ever too much trouble. Combined with a staff team that was remarkably professional, kind, and always smiling, the service exceeded every possible expectation. Every corner of the lodge was beautifully kept, offering the perfect blend of coastal charm and modern comfort. It is rare to find a place where stunning natural beauty meets such genuine, heartfelt hospitality. We left feeling completely refreshed and cannot recommend this lodge highly enough! Wir waren leider nur fünf Tage im Queen of Sheba, haben uns dort aber vom ersten Moment an total wohlgefühlt. Die Lage ist traumhaft – morgens aufzuwachen und von der Terrasse des Apartments auf den Indischen Ozean zu schauen, ist schon etwas ganz Besonderes:) Die Apartments sind liebevoll eingerichtet und wirklich picobello sauber. Petra ist eine unglaublich herzliche Gastgeberin und auch ihr gesamtes Team ist super freundlich und aufmerksam. Man fühlt sich hier wirklich persönlich betreut. Petra hat tolle Tipps für Ausflüge, organisiert bei Bedarf einen Fahrer und ist jederzeit da, wenn man eine Frage oder einen Wunsch hat. Das Queen of Sheba können wir wirklich uneingeschränkt empfehlen und für uns steht fest: Wir kommen auf jeden Fall wieder! ❤️

If you are looking for peace, spectacular nature, rest, fresh food and comfort, this place is for you. The tides are extreme so for several hours during the day you cant swim in the sea but you can walk on the sea bed and enjoy an extraordinary experience. The pool is amazing to cool off and move your body. You cannot really lay on the beach which was unfamiliar and a little strange for us at the beginning, but the super comfy deckchairs and hammocks are overlooking the sea, just a little raised above the beach level. (This is a typical setup for the east coast of Zanzibar). When the tide comes in (twice in 24 hours), you can enjoy the warmest sea we have even swam in. There are hardly any "beach boys" or Maasai on the beach which is an advantage to other beaches where you are sold to and stopped all the time which we find very annoying. The food is good and if you dont like any of the starter, main or dessert options of the day, just ask. If at all possible, they will cook it for you. We did some amazing excursions too, all recommended and organised by the owner, Petra, at very fair prices. Petra is super helpful in anything you need. We spent four fabulous weeks here, and would definitely recommend Queen of Sheba Lodge. I am not adding any of the hundreds of photos we took, the pictures on booking are true. You can trust them.

The tides need getting used to. I would prefer a salt water pool as I really dont like chlorine, but I still enjoyed the pool very much, multiple times a day.
