Boutique Suites Joyce

Location could not have been better! We stayed in the center of a beautiful square and woke up to singing and music. It was so happy and joyful! The room is beautiful but small. the bathroom was small, but keep in mind the property is truly beautiful and location could not have been better!! Would we stay there again...in a second!!

Bathroom could have been bigger but it is an old hotel so I don't think that is possible to change.

Boutique Suites Joyce was created through a renovation of the old Berlitz language school where the famous Irish author James Joyce taught English in 1904-05. There is a statue of Joyce seated at a table in the cafe/restaurant beside the hotel and his first residence in Pula was around the corner. The location is central to everything in Pula and the staff is extremely helpful. Receptionist Nicolas went out of his way to track down the location of Joyce's Pula digs. The city is full of Roman ruins, including a Colosseum, excellent fish restaurants, naval museums and nearby swimmable beaches. What's not to like?

This is in a great location right by the Gate of the Sergians. The room I stayed in was compact but had everything I needed. It was clean and smartly done out. The staff were very helpful on local things to see and do and helped me with buses. There is a cafe/bar below the hotel and they offer a discount for all guests at the hotel.

The property is in a good location, easy to walk to everything in the old town.

On booking.com it’s called boutique suites, however when you arrive you learn it’s a hostel. Very poor facilities, no kettle or glassware in the room.
