Hotel Palac Staniszow

I chose this charming place for a few reasons: 1st: the swimming-pool was GREAT ; I've never seen such a beautiful pool in a place like this (decoration with paintings, library, ceiling with wood, the chimney, very confortable beds... Truly worth the visit! 2nd: the house itself inside and outside, and the park around are incredibly beautiful and very well looked after. The romantic atmosphere of old manors is really there :) The staff in the restaurant was really very nice and helpful, and the waiters in restaurant as well.

I chose this hotel for a 3rd reason: massages services. Actually, they don't provide massages on a daily basis, so you have to check before booking if you want to avoid a deception. The room was cold (in September), and there was no hot water in the shower in the afternoon (coming back from the swimming-pool), so I advise you to take your shower after swimming in the showers of the building where the pool is located, and not in your bedroom. I really missed simple tea/coffee facilities (just a kettle would have been great) in our bedroom as I was a bit ill (toothache and a cold) and in such moments a nice cup of tea can bring you a lot of confort! The breakfast was a bit disapointing when you prefer continental breakfast, as there were only very few options for those who like to eat sweet meals in the morning ; quite everything was savoury and there was only one (excellent) sweet cake available. All the food looked really nice, but rather for lunch for French/Italian people like us! If you go to the restaurant, my advice, make sure there is not a wedding party on the other side, because in the kitchen, they very hardly managed to provide a normal service both for "usual" clients and the group of the wedding party. So we had to wait about 1 hour 50 minutes before being served... Knowing before they were so busy, we would have chosen to go to another restaurant instead of waiting so long. Except for the time we had to wait, the food was excellent and all meals were really lovely, so I DO recommend the restaurant... but when there are no wedding party.

The hotel has a lovely atmosphere of an old country estate, with beautiful surroundings. We particularly enjoyed the SPA, although some of the facilities are already showing their age and doesnt work. The breakfast was excellent, and we also had very good dinner at the restaurant.

Our room (“Australia”), which was in the Deluxe category, felt rather basic and did not quite live up to the expectations of a Deluxe room. On a future visit, we would probably not pay extra for this category

Atmosphäre und Ambiente stimmen wie immer, aber leider ist der Verfall an prägnanten Stellen nicht zu übersehen. Wir leiden mit den Eigentümern, da wir den Aufbau seit Beginn an mitverfolgen.
