The front desk female staff did not extend our stay by half hour while checking out although the hotel was almost empty. We were told that they will charge us for one full day if we are late for checkout. That is not good customer service.
I must say that every hotel we have stayed so far has been courteous to extend our checkout for another half hour or so. It is a good customer service but somehow it wasn't done at Chunda palace.
Requesting mgmt to train the front female staff to serve their clients satisfactorily.

A majestic palace with royal rooms. Total feel of royalness while roming in the property. Good spread and preparation of breakfast, Their terrace restaurant has a lovely view of Lake Pichola and the surrounding palaces / hotels. Beautifully lit up. Looks awesome.
They do provide free car parking space which is in the open and outside the hotel (adjascent open ground).

The hotel is quite beautiful with a lot of art on the walls. The rooms were large and felt extravagant. There was a window seat that was quite nice. We could have easily slept four in our room which would have saved on cost.
Breakfast was good, but their bread offerings weren't the best. We found this to be true across India so it's not really the fault of the hotel. The pools were not heated so not usable in the winter. They looked amazing and would be a great amenity at other times of the year.

The Palace looks nice especially the interior.
The staff was very much like take or leave it kind of an attitude.
The hot tub which is mentioned in our room was not working. Nothing was done regarding the same.
The room was not completely cleaned when we checked in. Cement had chipped of from the walls in the room.
Even after all this when we requested for a late checkout we were straight up denied the request stating the hotel is full. Didn't seem like it but maybe it was.

Best value for money. Better than other expensive hotels in udaipur

Nice hotel. Renovated in style. The breakfast can be taken outside or inside. There is a little gym for powertraining (which is the thing I like) as well as an indoor pool and an outdoor pool besides the restaurant. The hotel was pretty quiet which is exceptional in India. Perhaps also because when I stayed there the marriage season had just ended. But anyway that was a big pluss!
I am a bit insecure about the water quality of the pools. People jump in the water with cloths on, and I did not recognize any chlorine or other desinfectant... Anyway I used it and was careful not to swallow it. My Indian friends said the restaurant could do a bit more on the spices / gravy part of paneer dishes. I liked the food a lot though (not a vegetarian). As another small minus: there is no garden where to walk a bit.

It's a beautiful place, absolute heritage.

the property is unique as it’s a heritage palace. staff and service was exceptionally good. food was excellent.
the facilities are not up to the standard, having been charged nearly five star hotel prices. lack of minibar, bathrobes in suites, gym is not up to the standard, swimming pools are not heated and practically unusable.

The design of the hotel was very nice and palatial. The outside pool area was very pleasant and the food was also very good. It’s a beautiful hotel.
Staff esp Isha and Dharmendar were attentive and did their best to arrive any problems.
The wifi was not good in our room. I could not complete essential work which I had to do which was very disappointing and annoying as a guest. If you intend to have any work calls during your stay I would not recommend this hotel.
Also the lotions/shampoo/conditioner/body wash available in the bathrooms was very poor quality. The shampoo and conditioner completely ruined my hair and the body wash smelled like dish soap!! I would advise using name brand products instead of locally produced cheap shampoo/etc as these can actually damage the hair/skin of the guests!

Stay in this place, have dinner, go for drinks, just be there: every room is a feast for the eye, even the gym. The staff above all goes out of their way to make your stay very special.
Food is ok, but restaurant ambience is excellent

Good food and room size is large.
Its not a 5 star at all! It's a standalone boutique hotel. Hygiene not upto the mark. Washrooms need desperate refurbishment, faucets needs change.
Good food! The indoor swimming pool was filthy, the outdoor pool one near the restaurant was good looking but not so well kept. Breakfast had limited options but ok. Not recommended for a family with kids at all. Nothing much to do in the palace especially for kids. It lacks the elegance and the grandness that usually palaces have. I booked this hotel because booking.com misleads and mentions it as 5 star hotel on its website, which is totally untrue. Certainly disappointing and not meeting expectations
