Absolutely made to feel at home and welcome. We had to change our dates due to illness and this was no bother at all. The lady was so friendly, accomodating and helpful. The house was a delight and so was our room. We loved having a bath and the balcony. Even Oliver the cat would welcome us when came in! Beautifully decorated room with a lovely new bed. Attention to details and the amenities really surprised and pleased us. Well stocked coffee & tea supplies, wall mounted tv, hairdryer & a table fan thoughtfully tucked away in the wardrobe, plenty of toilet roll and even decent brand full size bottles of shower gel & shampoo/conditioner in the bathroom. Stylish and quirky ornaments & decorations and a lovely cosy feel to the whole set up. Would definitely love to return in the near future.Highly recommended

The weather! Seriously, nothing at all wrong with our stay relating to our accomodation.

We loved the cleanliness and decor of the room and the ease of parking outside. It was an easy walk to the town and beach. The room was attractive and welcoming. It was easy to check in and out. We understood that no breakfast was provided but a range of continental style foods were provided, including fresh fruit. We loved the friendly cat!

Our main problem was that we could not get hot water in the shower or basin on the day we really wanted it ( after a long walk birdwatching in the cold on the Sunday). On the final morning, Monday, there was hot water in the basin but we did not have time to check the shower owing to an early departure. We would have liked some fresh milk available and better still some cereal for continental breakfast, not being big eaters of cake type products. The dining room was very cold, though I appreciate that most people would take their food up to their rooms to eat. My husband found the bed too soft and a little small- we were in a twin bedded room.

The location, cleanliness of the room, how well appointed the room was and the excellent service provided by the landlady. We would most certainly recommend the Gables to others.

Great location close to the sea and lots of amenities, lovely welcome when we arrived. Very spacious, clean and bright room with a lovely sea view. Tea, coffee milk etc plus toiletries all provided. Beautiful house with a lovely host

There was nothing at fault

Room was lovely in a period house. No cooked breakfast but food provided free which we were quite happy with as not tied to times or sitting in silent breakfast room eating with strangers. Location was great as quiet but close to town. Parking on street was easy

Good location, free and easy parking nearby. Clean, reasonably sized room and.comfortable bed.

Toilet wasn't the easiest to flush but it was only a minor inconvenience.

Breakfast with drinks offered downstairs. Better and more powerful shower, instead of a treacle of water because of lack of water pressure on top floor in the the loft space.

Great location, pick and mix breakfast gave us more flexibility - not tied to breakfast times. very quite and great view from room. Easy parking on the road.

Property could do with modernising as rooms are a little tired. Shame that no cooked breakfast option is available although this is clearly stated when booking the room.

Loved the location. Short walk to all the amenities and short drive to local attractions. The balcony was nice to sit and have a cuppa. The room was clean and had everything we needed. Complimentary breakfast items free if wanted.

Our room wasn't able to get WiFi unfortunately, the only room that wasn't able to. We were told we could use the guest lounge for wifi. Bath panel was off and held up by a chair. It was quite cold in the bathroom but no heating on in the room or bathroom. Toilet didn't flush well due to low water pressure. Had to flush several times. Bed was really hard didn't sleep well.

Lovely clean room with a sea view. Towels, hairdryer, iron, shampoo, soap, conditioner and body wash all provided. Welcomed on arrival by Oliver the cat who led us to our rooms. He greeted us each time we came back to the Gables. Breakfast was not included but there was a selection of fruits and pastries available. Linda I pour host was friendly and welcoming. We would stay again.
