Khao Yai Cottage

The cottage is a bit rustic, but clean and spacious with hot showers and air conditioning. It is in a garden setting with lots of birds to watch and within walking distance of a local food market plus several restaurants.

Geräumiger, sehr sauberer Bungalow mit den wichtigsten Annehmlichkeiten, schöner Garten, zentral im Örtchen und doch sehr ruhig, hilfsbereites Personal, nur 3 km bis zum Eingang Nationalpark ( von dort aus aber 14 km bis zum Besucherzentrum!!), einfaches, für uns aber ausreichendes Frühstück, insgesamt sehr gutes Preis/Leistungsverhältnis.

The setting is very tranquil although close to many restaurants and shops. The staff were all friendly and helpful and went out of their way to provide a different breakfast for each of our 6 days of our stay. The laundry service was also excellent

Khao Yai Cottage is conveniently located near Khao Yai National park, and is about 30 mins from Pak Chong train station. The property manager was lovely, and was able to accommodate a late check-in and arranged transport for us from the train station to the property (not that easy late at night in Pak Chong). They also allowed us to store our luggage while we did an all-day tour at the National Park. The offered breakfast was convenient and nice (fried or scrambled eggs, toast, spreads, juice, etc). The room was huge, the surrounding greenery was beautiful, and drinking water was provided. AC worked well and was quiet.

The room could have been cleaner - bedding had some stains (though had clearly been washed), there were some hairs in the bathroom including on the toilet seat, and the bathroom grout has seen better days. That said, it was clear the room had been cleaned before our arrival and in general cleanliness was adequate though not perfect. We arrived at the property relatively late (around 11pm), and to cool off the room prior to our arrival the glass door had been left open (there is a screen). However, the screen isn't perfectly sealed so there were some bugs in the room (mosquitoes and ants), though not so many that it really disturbed our stay. The set up of the room was a bit odd. It's huge, but the bed is right up next to the couch and then there's a big empty space in the middle of the room, and only one table is provided to keep your things. The fridge in the room was also a bit loud, though didn't keep us up. The biggest issue we had was that the lock on the door to our room was super finicky and it was really challenging to get it to lock, both from the inside and the outside.
