The room. The layout is terrible. You have to cross all the room twice to reach the bathroom. Bathroom layout is strange and dangerous. Not very friendly with disabled people or elders

This was just a 1 night stop over and we found it comfortable, really friendly and helpful staff plus very nice food at the restaurant.

It is not your typical hotel. Great character and charm. staff was very nice and helpful. Good location!

all went well. hotel in a quiet location, several others nearby, plus gated condo community for San Jose weekenders up the road. small problem for bus passenger arrivals, no shuttle to hotel. but only a 10 minute walk , so not really a deal-breaker. restaurant and liquor store near highway, good food available at reasonable price. hotel rooms have mini-fridges so a cold beer always nice. pool decent size, loungers fine, pool towels available. staff really helpful,

only 1 restaurant, the "soda" near the highway, would have been nice with more choice. but hotel restaurant fine, maybe a little expensive. hotel breakfast (incl in room price) very good. also many books available in "library"

Nice clean secluded hotel, good to stay for a few days. Friendly staff, good breakfast. Was nice to watch hummingbirds, lots of macaws flying around, and other representatives of the local fauna while sitting in the swimming pool. The road to the hotel is good for any type car. Good restaurant on site, and a few more at ~1km in the city.

The bathroom is outdated and poorly ventilated. Nowhere to hang wet clothes.

Very kind staff. Ideal for families. The beach is 50 m away. The pool is clean and at nice temp. Breakfast is very good, so is the restaurant.

An elecric kettles or a coffee maker would de useful in the room

needs upgrading. but due to the pandemic, a lot of places are strapped for money so it will take time. this is definately a Diamond in the rough. well worth the stay.

The staff is very very friendly and helpful regarding bus schedules, tours etc. The sweet lady at the reception gave us an extra large room cause we stayed there for a whole week. Breakfast is a choice of 6 dishes and tastes very good. After checking out when we were on our way to the bus station, they even picked us up and gave us a lift from Bejuco to Jacó for free!! There, the driver took us to the bus station to get our tickets to San José and then we could leave our luggage in their partner hotel in Jacó and stroll through the city without our heavy backpacks! Can you believe this? Afterwards they took us to the bus station again! FOR FREE!!! I can't even find words for such an incredible hospitality! Costa Rica - it's been a pleasure!

The sunbeds are a bit hard since the cushions have been removed from the wooden sunbeds. Nevertheless great pool and relaxing. :)

Interesting architecture and room design. The Dutch owners made sure it met all standards but was not a carbon copy of a standard North American small hotel/motel.

The food and the attention from the staff, the food quality was bad, the products were not fresh, the breakfast just missed the mark. The prices are expensive for local tourism and without the quality you expect from a hotel of this category,
