Le Kleber

Excellent value for money: a hotel at this price only a few steps away from Croix de Chavaux, which is on the subway and barely outside Paris. The room has everything you need, even a decent desk. The breakfast is surprisingly good, better than many more expenseive options in the city centre.

In the room itself, the only extra item I would have found useful was a kettle - otherwise perfectly fine, nobody expects luxury item at this rate. My only concern with the hotel is the level of noise, and most of it is a question of human behaviour. The soundproofing isn't good, and people are not paying attention. It is fine if someone goes out for a smoke (I guess) at 3am, but the should make sure the heavy door does not bang, and that they walk on the stairs carefully. Some people watch TV and talk quite loud until rather late. There is a 'please keep the noise down' notice, but most people don't seem to have read it...
