Hotel Toliman

Situated in a nice traditional village of San Lucas where you can feel on a market day like you got lost among the local people. Beds were comfortable, food was nice. Staff attent but english is still a slight problem, so we did try in our simple spanish to order food. Kids liked the swimming pool and lovely view. Easy to take the boat across. Definitely do the zipline on the other side of the lake.

Rooms are indeed very small and don't have enough place around to put your things away. Information about boat departures given us at the reception was not correct and its also not stated correct on the paper next to the reception window, you can better ask the harbor.

Wow. The location is spectacular but the real gem is the property itself. Beautiful, immaculate and tranquil. The real real gem, however, is the attentive staff and management. One of the best hotel experiences of my travel..ever!!!

Beautiful grounds, restaurant has an amazing view, pool and kayaks. We will definitely come back.

The grounds were beautiful, with gorgeous gardens and beautiful plants everywhere. The view from the restaurant was lovely. The maintenance and restaurant staff were friendly and very helpful.

I got a scorpion sting, from INSIDE my pillow - which was terrifying (luckily it was a small one and I was fine). Travelling with an 8 month old, though we were understandably a bit concerned as we could see a second scorpion on the ceiling of our room. We told reception and they offered to clean the room, but allowed us to move rooms after we asked. The reception staff didn't seem bothered - they didn't ask if I was ok, if I needed medical treatment or if they could do anything else to help us, which was disappointing. The gentlemen who helped us move our belongings, however, were incredibly concerned for our baby and were very apologetic. Obviously it wasn't anyones fault and scorpions do live there, but I felt the hotel management could have shown more concern for our safety. Unfortunately the room we moved to was next to the road - very noisy with traffic. There were some incredibly inconsiderate guests who allowed their children to play loudly well past the 'quiet hours' of 10pm. In the end we had to ask them to be quiet - this seems like something the hotel should have done.
