The staff were fabulously helpful. We stayed for one night only, but were returning a week later to fly out in the evening. They remembered us and allowed us to leave our luggage in the hotel for the day while we explored Genoa. The breakfast was superb. Very good indeed. I shall stay again. Not leat to use the amazing 19th century lift.

The location was perfect for getting around the city. Shopping, restaurants, train station were all within a 15 minute walk. We were in room 16 which was on the back side of the hotel, overlooking an alleyway. The room had less light coming into it which was perfect as we transitioned to this time zone. Breakfast was delightful. The space was full of light and air; food delicious. Staff were so very kind and helpful.

The first couple of days, we opted out of breakfast. Not smart on our part - trying to walk around without coffee looking for a place that served breakfast was not fun. The hotel breakfast was perfect.

The bathroom is partitioned inside the room and has a decent size though the shower is small and can be rather a tight fit for a larger person. This hotel occupies two floors in the old residential building so you need to be prepared for using tiny vintage elevator and smaller dining facility. No international channels are available on TV

Location was great. Bed comfort was fine. That is about all I could say.

The sofa was old and rusted, the room felt cheap. The bed was fine to sleep on but they but a cover on it that made it look old and hideous. Checkin was not friendly. Just a weird vibe all over for this place.

Breakfast adequate choice of fresh pastries/fruit & cereals. Room clean & comfortable & quiet overnight. Excellent central location. Very helpful, cheerful staff.

A little lack of signage downstairs but maybe just being older didn’t look properly.
