Filoxenia Villa

Filoxenia Villa is a charming and authentic place with a lovely Cretan atmosphere. We liked the location, the pool and the beautiful surroundings. We especially appreciated the generous welcome treats Nikos had prepared for us: biscuits, croissants, fruit, beer, wine and water, as well as coffee, tea, butter and cheese. It was a very thoughtful gesture and made us feel welcome from the moment we arrived. Nikos was friendly and responsive whenever we contacted him. Thank you for your hospitality!

There were a few things that affected the comfort of our stay. We had some difficulties with the hot water and at one point had to heat water ourselves in order to wash. Nikos responded quickly when we contacted him, and later the water was warm enough for all four of us to take a shower. We also noticed that the apartment had been entered while we were away in order to check the hot water. We completely understand the reason, but we would have appreciated being informed beforehand, as this would have made us feel more comfortable regarding our privacy. The apartment is very authentic and has a lot of character, but in terms of everyday comfort there is some room for improvement. We missed a few practical items in the kitchen, and separate towels for the beach and pool would have been very useful.

Typical Greek-style, authentic, spotless apartments with a great pool and only 5 minutes to the 'long beach'. Perfect location.
