Hotel Miramonti Corvara

Im sure the hotel looked great when it was built, but it looks like an outdated ski lodge now. It needs some TLC. The bathroom was small, but with a good shower. The bedroom was an internal cublicle with slidng doors inside a larger room with a small kitchen/dining area, with 2 sofa beds. No aircon, and it was quite hot and stuffy with no windows. The patio doors could be opened onto a small balcony devoid of security. It had the feel of a typical old ski lodge where families stayed to ski, and to exist cheaply when not skiing. breakfast was adequate, continental with a small area with scrambled eggs and bacon. The location was great for a group motorcycle tour of the major Dolomite passes so we didnt spend much time in the hotel. Good garage parking, altough security limited to a small, easily accessible lifting barrier.

Nothing 'bad' about the place, its a functional hotel/ski lodge that is probably great for a family ski trip on a budget.

Staff - very proffessional, and evidently experienced! Food in general very positive surprise. no fuss - we got exactly what we needed Building is old, cannot do much about it, but everything works!
