Relais Osteria Dell'Orcia

The property is beautiful, charming and very peaceful, surrounded by the wonderful scenery of Val d’Orcia. The hotel itself is extremely well maintained and has a lovely, intimate atmosphere. The staff were consistently kind and attentive throughout our stay. We would especially like to mention Luca, who gave us extraordinary attention and went out of his way to make us feel welcome and well looked after. His hospitality genuinely made a difference to our experience.

The location is quite secluded, which can be either a great advantage or something to consider depending on the type of trip you are planning. A car is essentially necessary, as the main towns and attractions of Val d’Orcia require driving and there are very limited alternatives for getting around. For guests looking for peace and quiet, this is an excellent choice; for those who prefer to walk into town or move around without a car, the location may feel a little remote. Also, during dinner service the staff naturally need to focus their attention on the restaurant, so service elsewhere in the hotel can be a little more limited during those hours.

The customer service was outstanding and easily the highlight of my stay. Everyone was genuinely kind, welcoming and helpful. Breakfast was excellent, with great quality and plenty of options. My room also had a small balcony with a beautiful view over the Montepulciano valley, which was a great way to start the day.

The room itself is quite simple and a little dated, but it was clean and comfortable. For me, the excellent service, breakfast and views more than made up for it.

Das Essen im Hauseigenen Restaurant war hervorragend. Der Zimmerservice welcher Morgens und Abends ins Zimmer kommt und kontrolliert ob alles perfekt ist. Poolservice ist super.

Die Preise auf der Getränkekarte am Pool sind etwas hoch angesetzt. Z.B. Hugo um €12.-

The hotel is new, comfy and is located in a nice area, with beautiful views.

The breakfast was really poor, there were no options to choose between (not even eggs were provided). They ran out of water in the shower and it took at about 20/30 minutes to be solved. The shower is too small.
