Beautiful heritage building. Lovely gardens.
Our evening meal, although expensive, was memorable for all the right reasons. It was exceptional.

Breakfast was good, but not exceptional for the money. The Wellhouse wood-fired meal was delicious. Beautiful setting in the countryside.
Workmen working on roof above Chapel Suite until 6:30pm on day of arrival - drilling, banging, swearing(!). Not exactly relaxing and with no apology or forewarning from hotel.
Tasting Menu experience in The Avenue restaurant sadly spoiled by two drunk self-entitled youngsters. Not the hotel’s fault, but didn’t stop them feeding them more bottles of wine.

The hotel main building is beautiful. The gardens were delightful although spoilt by noisy fellow guests. They also spoilt dinner. The bar was particularly good and the staff were all incredibly helpful and friendly.
We had booked a heritage suite that in the photos was a period room in the main house with a view of the garden. Instead we got a modern room in the attic as far as could be from the main building and with a view of the bins. It is not what we had paid for and ruined our visit.
