What you see in the photos is what you get a lovely clean and friendly Hotel. Booked the day before arrival at a great price which included half board. Food at dinner although choice was limited was excellent breakfast good also. Language barrier made for interesting and amusing interaction as the staff spoke very little English and my German and Italian need plenty of work. Overall a great hotel and wouldn't hesitate to stay again..safe parking for our motorcycles.

Friendliness of the staff! Furthermore the outside swimming pool was very nice and quiet, the walk to the city centre was pleasant and only approximately 20 minutes. We also enjoyed some nice walks along the river and dinner at a restaurant just over the bridge with a riverside terrace. And last but not least, our room had a nice balcony with a lovely view and we could have our breakfast at the hotel terras overlooking the garden and the pool.

Friendly owners. Spacious room with the view of the mountains and nice balcony. New bathroom. Beautiful garden with the refreshing pool, and it was also nice to have an option of the indoor pool in the hotel. Enough parking on site, about 20 minutes walk to town centre

Lack of air conditioning. It would be really a plus. Its was really warm, and it was difficult to sleep with open window as it was noisy outside (motorbikes or cars coming and leaving).

The hotel was wonderful, a real gem. We had a cute and cozy room on the top floor with balconies facing either side. The views were incredible. Room was clean and had an old timey feeling from the style of the furniture but everything was well maintained. The staff was very friendly and helped us with everything we needed. The location is great, within walking distance of one of the best spots in Merano (palace and gardens of Trautmannsdorf). For the city center we chose to walk (a bit long but beautiful houses and green scenery; worth it if you can manage) and drive..but there was also a bus close by. Great experience, we will return because the whole region is worth exploring a lot more.
