Hotel Victoria is on the sixth and top floor of large building, and the views are stunning. All non-smoking. The streets below are pedestrian, so it was very quiet. It is centrally placed in the town, and most of the restaurants are within a minute or two walk. The airport bus stop is also very close, use either Stadtshotel or KanalGarten. Breakfast was a buffet, and there was always something that pleased me, from bacon&eggs, tomatoes, pancakes with cream and berries, bread and various cheeses or jams. Coffee and tea are available all day in a self-service kitchen. My double room was a good size, and the bed was comfortable. Best to unplug the mini fridge for a silent night! The hotel staff were very friendly and helpful, and I troubled them with a few problems such as late luggage arrival, etc. They gave good advice on places to visit. I was relieved that this hotel was of conventional solid construction and not made of wood!

Nothing serious, but the cleaning staff should probably inform management when a lightbulb no longer works.

The hotel facilities are almost dead. Everything is very old and needs to be replaced. Not clean - dust on all surfaces, untidy night tables by the bed, someone's hair in bathroom etc...Very poor and untasty breakfast.

- sewage smell in the bathroom - Reading all the previous comments about the rooms being too cold one would assume they'd fix the heating issue. But no such luck. The room (and bathroom) were freezing cold. Taking a hot shower wasn't an option either because the water only got lukewarm. Definitely wouldn't book here again during winter.

Breakfast was picked up from a shared fridge in a filthy communal kitchen. Orange ‘juice’ from a carton was horrible. Sandwich has meat in it (was not offered a vegetarian option). Desk in room covered in dust. Decor very tired. Took ages for shower to warm up. Staff not available in morning and storing luggage wasn’t easy (although we found a solution, this took some time out of my busy work trip).
