Pool, views, quiet location, functional kitchen

Bed far too hard and creaked every time you rolled over, stairs creaked, we had 2 out of 4 days with no hot water.

Kounenos Apartments is one of those rare places that makes you understand the true meaning of Cretan hospitality. The location is simply incredible, with uninterrupted views over the sea and some of the most beautiful sunsets I have ever seen in my life. Waking up to that view every morning was an experience in itself. The apartments are exceptionally clean and very well cared for, with everything you need for a comfortable and relaxing stay. There is convenient private parking, and the location offers very easy access to some of the most beautiful beaches in Crete. The large swimming pool deserves a special mention. It is beautifully maintained and offers an absolutely breathtaking panoramic view of the sea and the surrounding landscape. Another huge advantage is the access to private sunbeds on the beach, especially in an area where finding a place to sit during the summer can otherwise be almost impossible. It makes enjoying the crystal-clear waters so much easier and more relaxing. And finally, a very special thank you to Mr. Giannis, whose kindness and genuine hospitality made the whole experience even better. He is always there with a smile, genuinely happy to help, offer advice or assist his guests with anything they might need. That kind of warm, personal hospitality is something you remember long after your holiday is over. Kounenos Apartments combines everything I could ask for from a stay in Crete: cleanliness, comfort, spectacular views, excellent location and, above all, authentic Cretan hospitality. A truly special place that I would return to without a second thought.
