Hotel Euphrat Nemrut

Very close to Mount Nemrut with clean rooms and a good buffet dinner and breakfast food. Friendly staff and nice outdoor seating.

Not the most comfortable of beds but clean nonetheless.

It was a fabulous location for visiting Nemrut Dagh and Arsameia. Beautiful views along the view from it's elevated location. The pool looked lovely and was very clean (our room opened straight onto the pool) but we didn't have time to take advantage of it. Our welcome from Usuf when we checked in was very good. The staff were generally helpful although few of them spoke English. Google Translate came in handy. The help yourself buffets were very good - the food was lovely. We complimented the chef. It was good value for the standard of food, location and comfort in the room - although the room was very dated.

We expected the room to be serviced while we were there - but they don't do it - so don't expect it. It's all a little tired and run-down. Cracked paving stones and unloved/untended weedy gardens with un-swept paths. Little things could have made it much better. The restaurant is cafeteria style and out of date. It looks like it was decorated by someone with no clue and the furnishings were worn and chipped. It services large coach groups (Japanese and Australian while we were there). Tables were left uncleared and dirty and some staff appeared to be working hard while others lounged around while jobs were clearly outstanding.

The hotel is very close to Mount Nemrut and in a very nice location, surrounded by nature. The personnel was welcoming and helpful. The rooms comfortable and quite. They offer the possibility of good buffet dinner and their breakfast is really abundant and various. Really recommended !

The beds were comfortable, the views from the hotel were lovely and, for once, we weren't woken by the Iman calling people to pray. It is also probably the nearest place to Nemrut, which enabled us to beat the crowds.

Do not follow their map. The hotel location is in the wrong place. It is another 6kms or so up the road. Road to the hotel is a bit crappy up. The main guy at reception was friendly enough but the other guy was a comolete grump. When we arrived, after a long day of travelling, we just wanted to have a nice hot shower and rest.... only for them to tell us that there was no hot water at night Absolutely ridiculous. Terrible way of running a business. Running an accommodation business that controls when you can have a shower. Talk about stinginess. We were very frustrated as this is what we like to end our long days travelling with, a hot shower. There was also a dreadful smell of shit when we arrived in our room. The outdoor pool was full of crap in it. They also turned off the electricity at night, exactly when we needed it for charging our devices. The bathroom floor was covered in water when we woke up in the morning. I have a feeling that this is why the room smelt so badly, sewage overflow. The shower was atrocious. The showerhead didn't have a decent spray. It just poured out like a flimsy hose. The temperature was very temperamental, going between extremely hot to extremely cold very often. I couldn't even tolerate the hot sessions, and I love my hot showers. Room temperature is a bit cold. Breakfast was okay. Nothing special. Owner decided to smoke inside when we were all trying to enjoy our breakfast. Disgusting. He also was charging for water at breakfast, something he should already have provided at breakfast. This "man" is a complete Scrooge.
