The view, the river at your doorstep, relaxing atmosphere, facilities and welcoming hosts

The location is spectacular, as it is right on the river at a private jetty. The view from the lounge was of the old wooden boats and the river. Birks Harbour is well equipped, private and the bed was very comfortable. A very welcoming host.

Stunning location, exceptional property. The hosts were amazing from the time we booked they kept us updated and nothing was too much trouble. Have no hesitation in recommending this property and will hopefully return one day.

Beautiful spot. Very private. Furnished like a magazine - it was hard not to just stay and enjoy the place. But, enjoyed some local adventures as well.
No complaints! Not much kitchen prep space so plan to eat out or reheat. You are on holiday after all!

The property is a gem, beautifully furnished, spacious, clean, and with a large outdoor deck. Our only regret is not to have stayed longer! We hope to return soon again.

The goodies basket and gormet food was welcome bonus.First comfy bed I've slept in away for a long time.I woke up without a sore back .Hosts very friendly and helpful.I just wish we could have had another day to enjoy the boathouse.We were down for the Jazz Festival.,thankyou.
Maybe a partition between bed and living area but that's only because my husband is very early waker and the weather was too cold for him to go out for him a walk .

The location is amazing , the boathouse is well appointed, comfortable and inviting.
We were surprised the wifi was ineffective and had to use our mobile data.
For some reason the cutlery was place at the bottom of a cupboard rather than at a more helpful height, a small small issue but had an impact.
However these issues are raised to help future guests, we still had an amazing time.
