Steve was a wonderful host. We so enjoyed talking with him. He obviously works hard to maintain the high quality of every aspect of this lovely B&B. The room was lovely and comfortable, especially the modern bathroom and its great shower. There’s a lovely lawn and gardens in back of this beautiful old house that guests can enjoy. The walk to town and restaurants and cafes was easy. We did the Elan Valley driving tour and discovered and new, to us, stunning area of Wales. We hope to come back some day.

Beech room, very comfortable mattress and well cleaned room and bathroom. Breakfast was delicious! Friendly hosts, who were helpful and informative about the area.

Pricey, but we chose the room with the four poster bed which we really liked.

Friendly and helpful host who gave us information on the area and booked us a table for dinner. Superb breakfast, one of the best we have had. Lovely room with beautiful views and very comfortable bed. Highly recommend.

Lovely comfortable accommodation with beautiful garden

Had a great spacious room with a mountain view. Enjoyed the delicious breakfast and the place also had secure parking on premise.

Room was fabulous, lovely views of the garden, a plentiful supply of coffe/tea etc and also other personal complimentaries. Room was spacious, the breakfast choice superb and cooked to perfection. Penralley House is very beautiful b&b, the owner and staff were helpful and friendly, and a couple of minutes walk you find the small town with some lovely pubs to eat evening meals in. Thank you for our stay, and for the under cover parking for Bertha our Harley Davidson 😃

Steve is a very good host. Breakfast was great and the hotel is super central for easy access to pubs and shops. Thumbs up!

All good. Bit of road rattle in the morning but no complaints

We were greeted by Steve when we arrived and all I can say is that he is the best host anyone could wish for! He helped us with information on places to visit, restaurants and honestly nothing was too much trouble for him - he is amazing. We had The Beech room which is huge, beautifully presented, immaculately clean with views over the fabulous gardens and the rolling hills beyond. There is a decent sized bathroom with a large shower - again all immaculate. Breakfast was beautiful and certainly sets you up for the day. There is parking on site which is a bonus . We loved our stay there and will be back to see Steve and Gill

What a little gem. Hosts were friendly and welcoming, room was beautiful and clean with a great view of the lovely garden, and the breakfast was delicious It was well.located right in the heart of Rhayader, close to shops and restaurants and perfect for setting off riding the trails on our bikes

Steve the owner could not have done more to have make our stay any more comfortable! We were contacted on route by Steve to see if we would care for him to book us a table at a local restaurant as we were arriving late in the evening. Upon arrival we were greeted following Covid procedures wearing face masks and having our temperature taken including NHS Covid QR code as an option. Hand sanitizer was made available. The service we received was outstanding and the facilities were great. I and my family will be back!
