The Windsor Hotel

I was impressed to have a separate shower and bath. Room temperature was good. It was nice and peaceful in the hotel, no noise. The staff on reception were happy, polite and helpful. There was plenty of room for parking so no need to worry about coming back later in the evening and struggling to park. I was visiting family who had no room for me to stay, I would book here again in future. Thank you

The lighting was a little dim in the bedroom area. Carpet was very stained near dressing table area (room 36), there was also a couple of cracks in the bathroom sink. It would have been beneficial to have a socket for charging the phone on the wall where the bed is rather than the other side of the room.

Very tired decoration and furniture, room was very hot, so had have the window open... unfortunately the street is very noisy from passing people and drunks shouting (I understand this is beyond the hotels control) We also had to put up with guests above our room at half 4 in the morning decided to re-arrange their rooms furniture this lasted around hour and half... at one point I genuinely thought it was going to be like the sketch out of "Some mothers do have them" with Frank Spencer's feet appearing from the ceiling!!!

We had a good size room, but the bed was small, even though there's plenty of space for a larger one. Breakfast was ok, but the tea came as a pot of hot water with tea bags on the side, which does not make a good cup of tea. We both requested orange juice, but were given a carton of juice drink with a straw....very poor. Overall, the hotel is very tired and well past it's best.
