The hotel is very nice building wise and sits just back from the beach. The beach is long and has wonderful golden sand. Breakfast was very good, lots of choice and the staff very nice. Th pool was lovely.
We never thought that mid-September would be out of season in Portugal, but it seems it is. The hotel had very few guests except for 2 football teams having "camps" One of the dinner waiting staff was very off-hand, maybe she just doesn't like Brits.

quality of food and overall cleanliness
prices have been steadily increasing so value for money on this hotel has diminished a lot, room curtains didn't fully cover the window

QH is in a great quiet location, very close to the beach and a wooden path stretching along the beach allowing for very comfortable strolls and jogs. The hotel is very clean and the staff is very friendly and helpful. It is a bit on expensive side, but one can also enjoy the sweeming pool and a very good restaurant.
It is not a very modern hotel, so there could have been more plugs, for example, or a little more comfortable furniture in the room. But it is very minor, not really affecting the quality of our stay.
