SPA Hotel Ismena

I heard a lot of people complaining about the food, but we think the food was really good. Comfortable beds, breathtaking views. We really enjoyed our stay.

Water of the big swimming pool was cold and also one of the saunas was cold. The floor in our room had moisture damage. We expected a bit more from a 4-star hotel.

I liked the outdoor pool, but there were wasps there; the bedroom was comfortable; the food was delicious.

It is not clearly stated that there are many stairs leading to the cottages, meaning one has to use them multiple times a day to get to the pool, spa, or restaurant—which is inconvenient when wearing a bathrobe and flip-flops. The path to one row of cottages is an unpaved dirt track. There are no handrails on the internal staircases of the cottages. There were cobwebs on the ceiling of the room. The restaurant staff were unprofessional. What left the worst impression was the lack of access to the water dispenser during dinner.

Architektonisch sehr gelungene Hotelanlage, durch warmes Thermalwasser sind die Pools angenehm warm, das Thermalbecken ist sehr angenehm. Man taucht ein in die Welt der Bulgaren, freundlich, Essen bodenständig und schmackhaft. Die Landschaft ist atemberaubend. Wir werden wiederkommen.

On a positive note, the property itself is well-maintained and has a pleasant atmosphere. The rooms were clean, comfortable, making it easy to relax. The location is also very convenient, with easy access to nearby attractions.

I had a really disappointing experience during my stay. The staff were consistently rude and unwelcoming, which made the entire visit uncomfortable. Simple requests were met with irritation, and it felt like guests were more of an inconvenience than valued customers. There was no effort to be helpful or friendly, and basic courtesy seemed completely absent. Unfortunately, the poor attitude of the staff overshadowed everything else, and I wouldn’t choose to stay here again.
