Juyoh Hotel

Friendly English speaking staff. Great shared kitchen for cooking.

Bed a little uncomfortable

Friendly staff, clean facilities and good environment and community feeling.

Very nice receptionist, overall clean cheap and close to ueno/Asakusa.

Such a wholesome place to stay. The building and its contents are old and a bit shabby - but it’s not pretending to be anything other than a budget hotel. It’s kept very clean and there’s just a vibe of good heartedness and community-mindedness that is super endearing. Amazing view of the Skytree. Great cafe downstairs. Excellent help with recommendations for the area. Accessible to explore from. And do yourself a favour: don’t miss the rooftop bath.

If you want modern, new, fresh etc, this ain’t it. But that’s down to budget and preferences. There’s nothing not to like if you are looking for super affordable private room space, like sleeping on a futon and don’t mind sharing with all sorts of characters…
