Nice food

Dirty sock from last visitor left on bedroom floor. Waiter got bad sence of humour. Asked for a plate for breakfast. Made me embarrassed about looking for them myself.

It was in a cute town with a short walk to nice wine bar and restaurants. Buffet breakfast onsite was basic but passable

It looks very shabby from the back entrance where google maps takes you too. It would have been a grand hotel back in its early days. Bed was very hard. Vinyl floors in bathroom were bright blue and a bit strange. Front doors smelled of smoke when entering.

Our room wasn't dated which was mentioned in other reviews and from another patron and the lounge/bar area was comfortable and nice to sit in at night for a few drinks. The building itself is lovely its just not living up to its full potential. Although the lift was slow and small, i did appreciate it as we were on the top floor and there is a lot of stairs and i have a broken foot (something i didn't take into account when booking). I do think that we got lucky with our stay as we had a nice time

The room was tidy although there was bits of cleanliness that was questionable. There was a body hair very visible that was stuck to the bathroom bin on top of a random sticker. Some other areas could do with a bit more attention as well but it didn't affect our stay but might to others. The staff were ok but the barman looked like he really didn't want to be there and with the way he was dressed you would think he was just a member of the public and not behind the bar of a fancy looking hotel. The dinner menu was very limited and not to our taste so we cancelled our dinner and went elsewhere. We were told breakfast was between 7am and 10am and we went down at 9.15am to be told they were closing and was quite sharply told that as well. From what i was told from another guest on the way out is that they appeared very short staffed and they couldn't keep up with the demand of the 2 coach worth of people that came in
