The accommodation is definitely worth considering for the view alone. The best view is from your own room, and there is also a terrace where you can take photos and enjoy a coffee while admiring the city. However, there are some significant downsides. To reach the accommodation, you have to go up and down cobblestone steps, which become extremely slippery when wet. There are also lots of broken pieces of glass scattered around, which can be dangerous. The shared kitchen is very good and well equipped, with a fridge and a coffee machine. You can also prepare your own breakfast if you wish. Personally, however, the room I was given was extremely basic in terms of cleanliness and overall condition. The bathroom was particularly disappointing. The sink was blocked and filled up immediately, making it impossible to brush my teeth properly. The shower cubicle was extremely dirty, with mould, and the drainage was not working, so I could not use it. There was also no hot water. The bed was probably broken because it made a lot of noise with every movement. Rainwater was leaking in through the window, and there was a large patch of mould on the wall next to the bed. Another issue with the location is that many tourists come to take photos of the view and the surrounding area. As a result, you cannot leave the window open, and even with it closed, there is a lot of noise until late at night, well past midnight. I cannot comment on the condition of the other rooms, but the one I stayed in was extremely poor in terms of hygiene and overall comfort. There is also no Wi-Fi in the room, so you have to use the shared kitchen if you want an internet connection. Overall, the view is absolutely beautiful, but the poor cleanliness, maintenance issues, lack of hot water and noise significantly affected my stay. The accommodation has great potential because of its location, but the room I was given fell far below an acceptable standard.

The room is spacious, the bathroom is clean, downstairs there is a big kitchen with oven and a microwave, a dining room and a huge living room. The terace is the most important part of the apartment, because nowhere in Naples you can’t get that view. During the day you have all the city and Vesuvio in front of you, and in the evening it is even more stunning with all of the lights. Every day there is a coffee and croissants and toasted bread, and you have a large fridge. It is challenging geting up there, but worth it, cause it is quiet and safe neighbourhood. Giovanna was great, on time and very pleasant.

The wifi is stable only downstairs in the living room and kitchen, you don’t get the signal in the bedroom upstairs. The “funicolare” will not be working for 9 months, so keep that in mind when booking this property, because there is a good amount of stairs you have to cross every day. It wasn’t a problem for us, but it can be for some people.

piazza Garibaldi is a wasted project. An avalanche of asphalt completely useless, But In front of the hotel is the best zone....a lovely walk with cafe and restaurants and the hotel is right by the station... perfect location. The hotel has really done the best they can for the area. Cheap, comfy and functional. I only stay one half night (I arrived at 1am! and checked out at 9am!
