Hotel Boutique El Convento de Mave

This is a very charming and enchanting place - very peaceful and very well executed. The staff were friendly, warm and welcoming, the evening meal in the restaurant was delicious and the breakfast was outstanding. When we arrived, we were greeted by Bianca, who showed us around the hotel and the facilities, and then showed us to our room. This was a really nice touch - she was warm and welcoming, just what you need after a long journey.

I am sad we only stayed for one night and that we did not stay for two nights.

The setting, the garden, outdoor areas and the unique lobby and public areas

This was our second visit to this hotel.The place is beautiful. The hotel itself is enchanting. The peace is occasionally shattered by a passing train.It is not a busy line and that does not put me off.

The price in the bar / cafeteria seems to have been hiked a little. The restaurant is expensive but we knew that and the intention was to spoil ourselves at the end of a great holiday touring Spain. The plumbing needs attention in particular the tepid shower temperature. The final annoyance was at breakfast all the tables were dirty and there was little or no food left. The excuse that they had had a coach trip stopping at the hotel did not wash. In short we will not be stopping at this hotel again there are better value properties.
