whilst the breakfast was fabulous it wasn’t include in the room rate so not quite a bed and breakfast!!!

Rooms were small. We ended up getting a second room because it would have been very uncomfortable to fit 3 adults in the room we had booked for myself and two young adult children (double bed and twin). The rooms were clean and beds comfortable. But everything was a little shabby and in need of updating. Inn keepers were nice.

Beautiful and cozy house, delicious and plentiful breakfast.

Spacious hotel close to the centre of town and associated restaurants. Easy parking. easy access to ground floor rooms. Very helpful and informative staff.

it is in a good location to stay overnight

The bathroom wasn’t spotless. The menu says home made pasta, the sauce could be, but the pasta, doesn’t looks home made at all.

Good location, walking distance to Waterville town. The beds were comfy.

Decor is in need of updating, the bed linen was a mismatch of different sets and the room is overcrowded with furniture.

It was quiet and private, comfortable and clean room. Great location, very short walking distance to the town centre. Helpful and kind hosts.

The owners were friendly and helpful Homemade pasta sauce was lovely. Location was good.

Rooms were basic. Hotel prices with hostel accommodation. Menu misleading with regards to freshly made pasta... sauce was homemade.... (which was lovely).

The hosts were a bit offhand from arrival onwards, not terribly welcoming or interested in us as their guests. The shower drain was clearly blocked and we showered in an inch or two of water as a result. We asked about the cost of breakfast on arrival, indicated we were happy with that and were told the hours during which it would be served, no more than that. We arrived for breakfast at just after 9.00 in the morning to be advised that the chef had left and no breakfast could be served. I’m not sure why we weren’t offered some coffee and toast but it seems they were unable to offer anything and all too happy to see us leave at that point. We would have told them about the shower but in the ‘excitement’ of not getting breakfast the moment passed.

Very nice clean and comfortable accommodations! Restaurant was unfortunately closed due to staffing. We skipped the complimentary breakfast, as we had to get on the road.

This is a very neat place to stay with a lot of history. The rooms are very spacious and with excellent amenities, which you don't always get when you stay somewhere very historic. The food was absolutely excellent. Truly among the top five seafood meals I've had in my life. Margaret was very friendly and knowledgeable about the area. The breakfast was fantastic, too. They have very large en suite bathrooms and excellent heating in the rooms. We loved our stay and would come again.

Staff were disinterested and the room was very small,

I booked the accomodation and got a confirmation but nobody was there when I arrived. Everything was dark, I went to every available door and rang several times, nobody opened. Saw a tv running through the window. Felt like a bad joke. It was late already and I had to get a room in an expensive hotel instead. I don't know what kind of experience this was, but definitely not a good one!!

Location is stunning and peaceful. 100% well looked after by Margaret from the first minute of arriving. Room was perfect for our needs, dinner and breakfast exemplary. Interesting history to the Old Cable House and plenty of information to introduce you to it. A real shame that we were only there for the one night, but fully plan to return in the not too distant future.

Nothing to dislike or that was not up to expectation.

Stayed here on the ring of Kerry. Such wonderful food and dessert. Had fresh fish and homemade pasta. Breakfast in the morning was amazing.

Waterville is a beautiful town in a picturesque location. At the Old Cable House we felt were staying in the heart of the town in a building with a strong connection to local history. The host was very welcoming and we were settled in to our room quickly. The room was a good size, clean and cosy. Lots of nice touches, like WiFi, TV, tea-making facilities. The Old Cable House is an excellent base for exploring Waterville and the Ring of Kerry.
