Les chambres de l'ATELIER à Montignac Lascaux

Beautiful place to stay and central with everything on the door step. Our room was small but well equipped with tea and coffee in the room. The bathroom was clean and shower was good (could of done with shelf in shower though) lovely soft towels. We managed to park right outside the property except for the one evening when there was music in the town so parked by the River, but this is only a minute walk from the property. Lovely communal area where you can make and eat your own breakfast, we chatted to another couple and it was very pleasant.

Only down side was we didn't find the front door entry system very good. You are sent instructions and the code but we had problems every time we tried to get in.

We loved the location and the kitchen facilities were great, a very well stocked. Parking was always right out front or nearby so fantastic. This was a great place to explore the Dordogne region; the owner was very responsive and very helpful a great place to stay. Very central location and felt safe with the security of the property.

Everything was very good - this place is stylish,immaculately clean, well thought out and in a great location. Communication was clear, friendly and efficient. Highly recommend!

Nothing to dislike. Would have liked more pillows but that’s all I can think of.

The accommodation was a spacious, nicely appointed and decorated room with a modern, well designed bathroom, in an historic building overlooking the quaint Place du Arms, itself encircled by historic buildings and eateries along the river. The center of the plaza had free parking and adjacent to it, along the river was additional free parking, a couple of minutes walk. While we didn't get to meet the owners, Diane and Emmanuel, were very communicative and responsive. Check-in by code was easy. There was a large, well equipped kitchen-diner for 3 suites to share. It included a large fridge and pantry space. It was a pleasure having breakfast there. There was a selection of teas and often yummy cookies. In addition, on the ground floor was a washer and dryer one could use- very appreciated. Emmanuel provided instructions over the phone on how to use. We were able to walk to Lascaux IV! Who would have thought. The village, which flanked both sides of the Vezere river, was beautiful in itself and walkable. It had many restaurants, a great bakery, a supermarket, tourist office and a lovely shop of quality souvenirs. Interesting architecture abounded. We really enjoyed dining along the river. The area is full of beautiful countryside and of course, many caves evidencing the early artistic endeavors of our ancestors of 15-25,000 years ago.

Everything was wonderful. Could happily imagine staying there for long spells.
