The location is very rural, surounded by the village on one side and open fields on the other three. All very pleasant. The room is comfortable, sparse but has all that is required for an overnight stay. The hosts were very friendly and made our stay welcome. They served a good breakfast in the morning
The restaurant attached to the hotel has a good reputation and we wanted to use it. Unfortunately, the night we stayed it was closed. It is closed every Wednesday, which is not mentioned on the Booking website. The hotel did let me know after I had made the booking. On this basis I would have cancelled had I been able to get alternative accommodation nearby. However, there are restaurants in Montreuil about 20 minutes drive away, if you don't want to drink

Where should I start - the room and it's facilities are second to none, the small terrace outside your room overlooking the countryside is perfect, and the tranquility of the immediate area is relaxing. But, if you fancy yourself as a gastronome then this hotel is unbeatable. The owner is a professional chef whose meals could grace the tables of the best hotels in Paris or London. It's well worth staying here just for the joy of eating one of his meals - they're memorable !

An exceptional family run hotel which was on the edge of a picturesque village with beautiful and quiet countryside. The hotel itself was good value for money and the restaurant was exceptional . We will definitely return.
