My room was in the annex by the pool - I chose this room because of the little outside terrace with seating area and it's proximity to the pool. The room was very large, lots of hanging space and drawers, TV, coffee making facilities and air conditioning. Very effective lighting. The bathroom was a little small and tired but kept very clean by the cleaning team. Breakfast is an excellent continental with some cooked food. The staff are super friendly, nothing is too much trouble. I chose this hotel because of its proximity to Herculaneum, Pompeii and Naples by train, I didn't want to stay in Naples. It's very easy to travel to and from all the major sites by train, 15 minute walk from the hotel. I really enjoyed the peace of the gardens after a busy day in town.
My bathroom was a little tired, but otherwise good water pressure and the water was hot at all hours. The restaurant serves food a little fancy for my taste, I only had one evening meal which was very good. All the other nights I ate out, there are lots of restaurants within a 10 to 20 minute walk.

Staff were great. Lovely pool ( and hardly anyone using it). Relaxed vibe. Breakfast was very good
Herculaneum is a bit edgy. Did feel a little uncomfortable in the evening walking back from town - nothing did happen but the area is not well lit. We did realise when we booked that we had chosen a basic room ( it was very good value) , but we didn’t realise there was no window (!) , only a sky light. Air conditioning worked well though

Most of the staff was nice. The restaurant was good.
Air conditioner would time out and cut off so the room never got cool enough.
There was no fan to circulate the air so we purchased one from a local store to make it work.
Shower was small and didn’t have great water pressure and we ran out of hot water a few times.
