We had a great break on the lane between two busy and intense weekends. A much appreciated few days.

We loved our stay in this house. Beautiful view on the lake, well equipped with everything needed (not all beds ready with sheets but not a concern), very cozy and charming, with great games and books for kids (thanks so much for letting them at disposal!). Very remote and peaceful, and at a very short drive to Otis ridge where we had fun skiing with the little ones. We hope to come back! Thank you very much also for the very nice and clear communication before and during the stay :)

Lovely location on a gorgeous lake. The canoe and kayaks were a huge plus. For our taste, the house was a bit too dark. Also, the porch was unusable other than for storage. We had looked forward to sitting there to enjoy the lake view, but it wasn’t clean or inviting.

We spent a week in Otis, which was like having a lake to ourselves. The house was filled with family vibes and we just love the location. I hope to rent again at some point.

We love the house, plenty of room for us to all spread out, even though we somehow all end up on the porch and the deck (just cant beat the views!) . Comfortable, clean and well supplied. The kayaks and the canoe are a great bonus. Perfect location for many great day trips, Tanglewood, Norman Rockwell museum, Great Barrington.

We had a wonderful stay with trips to Jacob's Pillow for dance, Katie's for treats, and the lake for some early morning paddling to celebrate the sunrise. A great time for all generations with something to do for everyone inside and outside of the cottage.

Kitchen is extremely well stocked -- everything from whisks to wine glasses. Owner very responsive to inquiries; you can tell this is a well-loved home. Great time in this well equipped cozy cabin. Cooked, hung out by the fire place, hiked and xc skied next door, and took a sunset stroll on the lake. Great to reconnect with the adult kids. Kleenex at arms length throughout a very nice touch.

The cottage is great, really not much to complain about. We stayed in November and so didn't take advantage of the water other than to enjoy the sight of it, which was beautiful in the foggy mornings. Otis itself is a very small town, so be prepared to drive further out to find more restaurants or other amenities. The property owners failed to send the unlock codes to me prior to our arrival so it was a bit of a chore to get through to them via Vrbo support while sitting in the driveway, but they did rapidly get back to me and sort it out. Other than that little hiccup, everything else was great!

The house was everything we needed. Beautiful water views and warm relaxing fireplace. The weather wasn’t warm enough for swimming or boating but we enjoyed it none the less. Owner provided excellent communication before our arrival. We had no issues while we were there.

Stepping into this cottage felt like a nostalgic trip back to childhood "camp" in the most awesome way possible. The house is very rustically beautiful with wonderful woodwork, windows, fireplace and decor. We loved the scent of the woods indoors and out. The cottage is set in the woods with panoramic views of the lake from the main living area, decks, porch and yard. Very peaceful and relaxing. We enjoyed spending time both indoors and out. Inside the cottage there is lots of natural light and also plenty of lamps/task/overhead lighting to provide a cozy environment. Fans in most rooms, along with cross breezes keep the house cool. The main living area/great room is amazing and very comfortable. The kitchen is well equipped and has tons of counter space and cabinets. Well water is good to drink! Bedrooms are comfortable with lots of closet/storage space. Great to have a laundry room with full size washer and dryer. Internet worked great, and there's a Roku TV, bluetooth stereo and awesome library. The lake is awesome with warm clean water to enjoy swimming, kayaking, canoeing and just floating around. Early morning paddling is great on a completely mirror-still lake. Sunrises are beautiful. We really enjoyed spending time in the screened in porch during the evening. ( The porch swing got a lot of use!) There is also a really nice hammock in the yard, perfectly situated with an awesome view. The neighborhood is great for walking. We didn't get to use the fire pit because Hurricane Henri paid us a visit and elevated the water level for a week. So we simply swam over it :-) Hopefully the next guests enjoyed the bundles of firewood we left them! Thanks to the owners for being responsive and helpful when the hurricane was approaching. And for being so nice in general. We had a fantastic week at your wonderful cottage and look forward to returning! P.S. If you want to avoid the crowds of the Big Y supermarket in Lee, head to Westfield for your grocery and other shopping or simply go the the small general store down the street from the cottage.

Beautiful location with large house. Issues were with cleanliness and comfort. The living room furniture and beds were very uncomfortable. House looked neat but was very dusty and dirty. Usually I lightly clean when going to a vacation home. This time, I spent hours. This was unfair since we had paid the mandatory cleaning fee.

Great space to enjoy friends and family! Enjoy meals gathered around the table inside or out, quiet morning coffee in the screen porch to watch the sunrise or wine under the moonlight - it’s all good! Paddling, swimming and nearby hiking can fill your days -can’t wait to return.

This is a lovely setting with some privacy and trees. There are kayaks and a canoe and a wonderful lake to explore. Great swimming too!

We enjoyed our time here very much! The house has everything you’d want (linens, towels, kitchen items, hammock, deck, grill, firewood, great view all around, kayaks, canoe etc). The hosts are very responsive and the lake is so serene and calming. We definitely recommend for a relaxing getaway.

We went boating and swimming on Big Pond, explored the towns of Lee, Stockbridge and Lenox - all no more than 30 minutes away - and attended several performances at Jacob's Pillow, a dance festival only 15 minutes from the cottage. Sarah and David promptly responded to inquiries and the check in and check out process was smooth. The cottage came with boats, games, a lovely fireplace with wood. A favorite was the screened-in back porch, looking out at the lake. A wonderful visit - we'd like to come back again!
