The mattress on the bed was very firm but the pillows very soft which meant we were flat to the bed and gave us both back aches. Also there were only 2 coffee pods so we could only have 2 coffees for our stay. It would’ve been nice to have an additional supply so we could have a coffee each morning for example

super clean and modern in the perfect location to walk everywhere in ponta delgada. two large bedrooms a huge bathroom with a really nice shower. cute little outdoor area. super quiet

my only complaint is that there was too much scented perfume everywhere. the sheets, the towels, reed diffusers and satchels. very overwhelming scents.

Great location for walking to the downtown City; street was very noisy - we found out there was a bakery down the street and they start very early so it started to get loud around 3 am; also no airconditioning available as I found the room a little warm so we had to open the windows at night which then brought in all the noise from the street

Smooth set up for access to the property. Great location. Excellent private parking. After we checked out. We had a few hours to kill before our flight and the host let us stay parked in their garage while we walked around Ponta Delgada. Greatly appreciated.

Firstly, to get access to the property, you use a high-tech system which is so easy to use and frankly, we loved it - it was very cool! The apartment itself was perfect for two people with comfortable bed and everything you'll need for your stay. There's a secure garage where you can park your car. The street the apartment was on was quiet and a very short walk into the centre of Ponta Delgada. Caludia was a delight to deal with.

Everything was perfect. We did have a noisy neighbour which we let Claudia know about but we believe they checked out the next day, thank god!

A beautiful villa with all the amenities you might need. The garden view is so nice! and Claudia is very helpful. I recommend this place and will definitely go back if I'm in Ponta Delgada again.

Contemporary, stylish, oasis in the heart of Ponta Delgada. Incredibly clean, fully stocked, apartment-style units. Lovely common area. Great to have garage parking. A beautiful and serene place to stay.

This is not really something I didn't like, just an awareness piece of information. Villa Esmeralda operates without keys; using either a punch in code or an app. The system works very well, but you need to make sure you receive the email with the access code and link to the app before you arrive. We arrived late in the evening when no staff were on sight. I had not received the email (it may have been sent, but I did not get it). Therefore, we couldn't get in. Fortunately I did have a phone number and someone answered right away and sent me the information by text. Make sure to look for the access email at least a few days before your arrival.

Property was comfortable with great amenities.

We found 3 large cockroaches in our accommodation which was a bit unsettling. Other than that, everything was perfect.

Nicely built apartment, very clean, equipment mostly works (check your dishwasher door before you open them). Garage is OK for a small car, every room has their own spot. No keys, everything works with your pin code.

The owner did not warn us about the fact that directly attached building is a construction site. They work there every day since 8 AM, sometimes sooner. The noise and vibrations will wake you up no matter what. If you like sleeping in, you can not here. The bedroom has windows overlooking the street. We expect standard city noise with cars etc. but not rumbling, hammering, drilling and so on. If you plan on visiting this accomodation, make sure the construction is over.

The best place we stayed on the island - we stayed in Apartment 5. You get plenty of space, all the amenities are useful, bedding really comfortable, it's quiet, and the location is ideal for getting into town. We had a rental car - and the complimentary on-site parking was a godsend. Cannot recommend enough if you want an excellent base on Sao Miguel. We would absolutely return - we even tried when we'd checked in elsewhere!

The amount of emails you initially get from Booking.com are a pain - as it's tricky to find the salient information like key code, e-fobs for doors, etc. Host's English wasn't great - also, she was confused as she had 2 bookings with the same first name - so check-in could be smoother. Small points though.

All the images you see in the presentation are real. The stunning green wall is in a courtyard surrounded by 7 apartments, some smaller, some larger. The apartments are modern, well equipped with everything you will need, perfectly clean and everything from furniture to appliances is high quality and in perfect condition. There's free parking in it's own garage, high speed WiFi and an excellent espresso machine Also, the host is the most welcoming, thoughtful and likeable person. We stayed there for 2 weeks and we were delighted. I fully recommend it.

nicely situated just outside of the hectic area. no noise from traffic. only little noise from planes coming to/from the island. great restaurants nearby at walking distance. very friendly and accommodating staff. very clean and place gets cleaned every second day thoroughly. easy access with doorcode. good parking at property without real risk of damage to your rental car. well equipped kitchen for cooking. everything looks new and works.

the bed is a bit narrow for two. we ended up sleeping separate as you wake up when the other person turns around as it’s one matras. kitchen cupboards are inconveniently placed so difficult to wash hands or cook but not a real problem

Ideal location centrally in Ponta Delgada city center, to explore the city. Garage is a bonus. Nice space within the property to relax. Perfectly clean rooms. Host is very helpful.

We property was immaculate, very well cared for. The parking garage was SO convenient. The unit (Superior #3) was bright, comfortable, quiet, well equipped. WiFi worked great - my husband worked from the bedroom desk and I worked from the kitchen bar. The maintenance woman was constantly cleaning the property- she did a fantastic job. Cute/Easy laundry place a short walk away. Loads of restaurants nearby. Loved it!

Claudia was a very helpful host. The suite was modern and looked very new, the court yard was pleasantly quiet for relaxing - you didn’t feel like you were in the centre of town. The suite was clean, well appointed and in a convenient location.

The property had an online app which could be used to open the doors which worked very well. Large and evenly sized double bedrooms. I was sharing with a friend and this meant there were no arguments over who had which room :-)

The outdoor seating area could do with better lighting. It would have been nice to sit outside in the evening with a glass of wine but it was a bit too dark. The motion activated lighting inside the partment was a bit irritating as constantly switching lights on and off. It would have been nice if we could manually override the motion sensor for those lights.
