Fantastic Onsen with many baths inside and outside. We had private Kaiseki dinner. Friendly helpful staff in small town with many restaurants and good public transportation

Great location, amazing baths and spacious rooms!
Didn’t have any baby beds/cots available for our stay. Some members of our family have an egg allergy, and there was no allergy information at all at breakfast or dinner, and extremely limited options without egg. Not even any bread options for breakfast. The buffet was amazing, just not for anyone with allergies unfortunately.

地理位置优,出门就是地狱谷,熊牧场也很近,门口有到JR站的巴士,但是车次比较少。
退房时间有点早,早上10点退房。晚餐的怀石料理一般般,不太建议选择!

It has a decent size of the room, it’s clean and it has a good garden view.
We booked for two rooms, one of the air conditioner wasn’t working appropriately. Therefore, it’s way too hot to sleep at night. We did notify to the front desk, but, they didn’t do anything about it.

The buffet spread for dinner and breakfast, the grand bath was amazing and spacious. Overall it's a very relaxing stay and will definitely recommend and return.
It was pricey but definitely worth the money. Rooms are tiny and far from lobby so if you have a lot of luggages, it's going to be a struggle.

very good hot spring and very close to the hell valley
one of the English speaking staff is not friendly. we book for 2 adults and 2 kids and my booking showed that it should be 4 futon beds but the staff insisted that we only entitled 2. That’s not very pleasant.

Very huge onsen with an amazing variety of different pools. Good quality of food. They had a nice cultural program.
The hotel is very, very large and in the part we stayed in felt a bit like a youth hostel. Also the breakfast buffet was very crowded and lacking atmosphere.

Price was quite high but experience was amazing

This hotel is spacious, clean, and accommodating. Close to Hell Valley walking trail and little shops for souvenirs and food. My kids loved the pool area with its waterside, and the Grand bath is huge and spectacular with many pools for different skin needs, cold tea and amazing skin products to use in you locker room. The friendly staff turn your beds down at night and then up again in the morning. They have activities for kids and a drum show at night near the lobby. A karaoke bar and restaurants inside the hotel means you don't even really need to leave the facility, but you should because the little walk in the vicinity is charming and interesting: Little demon statues all around town, a shrine, a nearby geyser, shops that sell beautiful things. I Recommend this hotel for families or couples. It was a peaceful and relaxing retreat for my family
Nothing to dislike

Hot spring is good
The staff, especially the manager, is arrogant, unhelpful, and rude. The services offered here do not meet the so-called 5-star standard.
The hotel always has a bad smell.

Very clean and spacious rooms. Hotel is complete with all amenities including a play arcade for the kids. The onsen was within the hotel with 24/7 access. The onsen is large with several pools and gender segregated.
Best of all, was the location. The hotel was right next to Jigokudani (Hell Valley) with walking distance to Oyunuma, Oyunumagawa natural foot bath and the Bear park.

Proximity to entrance of hell valley and walking trails. Buffet selection was beyond fantastic. The property has various shops good to walk around. Room is spacious (Japanese style room) .
Expensive, it’s also very crowded (went in July) especially during meal service and lobby).
