The location was perfect for our needs. It was central for all our needs. Parking was a bonus, plus the dressing gowns were a real treat. We lit the fire and appreciated milk in the fridge with other beverages.

Fire lighters would have been good as we couldn't light the fire without purchasing some. One bathroom at times caused a little difficult at times.

Location is perfect! The cottage is well equipped. The parking is very convenient. The house is cosy and pleasant and the nearby river is a joy! We had a wonderful stay!

the cottage is really good and very well equipped- everything you need is provided particularly excellent kitchen with lots of crockery ,utensils etc do it was super easy to book meals. the cottage is really cosy and pretty and very well decorated- love the feature walls with beautiful wallpaper on ! the location is the absolute best - parking right next to cottage and a lovely balcony overlooking the beck where we had breakfast and evening meals. perfect for heading to the lake too as only a short walk - we carried our kayak from the cottage it was so convenient. brilliant for walking too as you are right in the village and can head straight off to the hills from here . staff at the cafe couldn’t have been more welcoming and we had a great breakfast there before heading off on our last morning too - will definitely book again !

Excellent location, very scenic and central to Coniston. Accommodation very homely and comfortable. The welcome pack of goodies was a lovely touch. Information book well organised.

Wi fi code not given in the information booklet, although I presume there was probably a good reason for this.

location perfect for pubs, restaurants, shops. parking ideal especially with a 1 year old cottage was lovely and Frances was really welcoming and helpful

House was cold on arrival and during the day due to inaccessible heating timer

Great village location. Well equiped kitchen and lovely welcome pack. Open fire was lovely and the logs and coal provided were very welcome. The master bedroom was very comfortable, a lovely comfy large bed. Dressing gowns were provided which was lovely. The house was very clean and perfect for our family group and dog.

Minor things....The single beds were a bit soft and not quite as comfy as the king. The tumbling beck was lovely but those sleeping in the back of the house found it noisy for sleeping. The church clock opposite chimes every hour, even at night... and the dog isn't too keen on bells!!!

Bridge end cottage is so comfortable & well appointed that it feels like a home rather than a holiday cottage. We had the most relaxing & enjoyable time! Frances, thank you for all your messages, treats on arrival and preparation of the cottage!

The property was well situated, right next to shops, restaurants and perfect to go walking.

When I arrived to pick up the key for the cottage no one asked my name, for ID, no information. Just handed me the key, and then when I handed it back in no one asked for a name or anything either. Would’ve been nice to see some staff to check in on us and give us a run down on the cottage.

All the little extra touches, bathrobes, flowers, a beautiful welcome pack. A perfect home from home

We stayed with 2, adults , 2 Kids & 2 dogs Loved the extra special touches for welcome, cottage was lovely and clean and owners went above & beyond ensuring they’d covered all the essentials required for a short stay , can’t wait to stay here again ! Thanks

The only thing we didn’t like was the garden wasn’t enclosed for the dogs , didn’t change our views of wanting to stay again though !

A very comfortable property, right in the centre of Coniston (a one minute walk from the excellent Black Bull pub). Very clean and well appointed. The communication with the host was great.

A very minor negative, but the mattress on the double bed was not as comfortable as the ones on the single beds.
