The breakfast was great, but I do think they are resting on their laurels a little bit here. I would have preferred a more personal approach. I was travelling alone & wanted a quick & simple breakfast & would have appreciated some conversation upfront about what would suit me.

I didn’t feel the warmth I would have liked from the hosts. They were accommodating, but not warm. When you are travelling alone, this warmth is essential to you having a great experience. The taxi drivers who drive me to & from the hotel showed me much more warmth & kindness.

Everything about this place is magical. The hospitality is amazing , the stay was so personalised from our names written in the chalkboard out of the room to personalised menus for breakfast. The room was nicely decorated. Fresh linen ,bathrobes, amenities. Small slice of heaven. Walk-in showers 🚿 snack bar drinks are available. The breakfast is a 3 course meal , all produce is local . In the rooms the temperature is just right . It was decorated for Christmas🎄. Amazing stay amazing warm people.

That I couldn't stay forever , that's the biggest downside .

Our room was very comfortable and warm. We slept like logs. Lyn and Jason were excellent hosts. They welcomed us with a pot of tea and some interesting information and stories about Lyme Regis, including recommendations for restaurants. Our breakfasts were delicious! A very varied breakfast menu is available but each day we were asked if we wanted to try something different, eg. vanilla ice cream with sprinkles of toast and marmalade?! Weather outside wasn't great but there were daily newspapers, books, and lots of tea and coffee available. Jason pointed us to a street with available parking. We left the car there and didn't use it again till we left 2 days later.
