A climb up to see the sights—but no problem if you are fit and young!

Host Evandra was very nice and helpful. She greeted us and gave all kind of tourism recommendations including one for a nice local restaurant that we used for the whole four nights we were in Sintra (Apeadeiro Restaurant). The apartment has the best location, 5 minutes from the historic center and 5 minutes from the commercial area by the train station. Everything was within walking distance. From my bedroom I could see Sintra's National Palace! Very quiet. Parking was fantastic as I got a private gated patio, which was very safe. The apartment was very clean, very comfortable and practical to use. The price was fair. Overall five stars.

Awful odor, uncomfortable and broken couch, difficult to figure out heaters, no dishwashing liquid provided for kitchen, noisy hot water heater, we had to ask for blankets and drying rack for clothes to be able to use washer, inconsistent and weak wifi

Apartment is very charming, location is absolutely perfect, it has private parking, bed is very comfortable and both living and bedroom have airco so temperature can be set to comfortable value.

Apartment does not have ventilation, and in winter this means it is quite humid and smells like basement. It was too cold to keep a window open. Furthermore, no cleaning is provided, so in our case we had to use the same bath towel for 5 days.

Very centralized location in Sintra, close to restaurants and major sites

There are no elevators, so you have to lug your baggage up and down the stairs. Noisy at times due to the proximity of the train station
