The Bolingbroke Hotel

The one member of staff was very helpful once we saw him.

No one in the breakfast room for 10 minutes when we came in. No information anywhere as to choices.

Clean comfortable and neat. Nice and quiet surroundings. The staff were lovely and welcoming and obliging, and the food was delicious and plentiful and most important for us piping hot when served.

Hot water was in short supply

I did mot like the lack of soundproofing between rooms. I could hear tslking , snoring and cooling fan and ended up having to wear noise cancelling headphones. I think it was kitchen fans that csme on at 5am each morning.

Easy parking. Lovely building. Really nice evening meal. Cosy bar. Spotless room. Very quiet room. Nice refreshments. Modern TV.

Extremely rude host at breakfast. Treated like I was an imposter. 'Told off' for arriving too early for breakfast (7:10am) despite being asked what time I wanted breakfast upon arrival the night before. Was instructed to move tables (there was just three of us in a vast room). Grumpy, unpleasant, no manners, treated badly, felt entitled to treat a customer like an irritation. Got the feeling he was not used to being held to account for appalling manners. This is why people opt for faceless chains that nonetheless iron out this kind of nonsense. But food, rooms and cleanliness was 100/100. Such a shame.
