From the start, Communication was A+ from Melissa. She was very quick to respond to any question. The house was very clean and the AC worked great! The kitchen was loaded with dishes, pots and pans, spices, saran wrap, foil, even cooking oil, brown sugar...little things you may have forgotten, etc. The beds were comfy and there were plenty of blankets and towels. The check in/out process was easy. Very nice just having a doorcode. We LOVED the porch area. That's where we spent most of our time. The fire pit area was nice. Plenty of seating and there were marshmallow sticks. We also had our son and his family stay in the "bunkhouse" which they loved.Such a great space!! The only downfall is that it's wasnt close to Tatman Run where we swam everyday(25mins away) but I knew when I booked it was a little farther. Friday and Saturday nights the atvs were pretty loud going back and forth, but I already knew that from looking at reviews. We have rented many cabins and this one had alot of "stuff", you could almost say "clutter" but it was part of the decor and it really didnt get in the way.

This cottage is in a very peaceful location, no traffic noise. We had breakfast on the screen- in porch while listening to many birds singing in the woods. It is very clean and has a great kitchen. We would go back again.

First, the communication with Melissa was amazing. She responded to every question I had in a super timely fashion. She was also accommodating when I asked for an additional hour for checkout. Second, once we arrived at the house it instantly felt like we were at home. A kitchen fully stocked with dishes, cooking utensils, spices/seasonings, a washer and dryer, TVs, and pictures on the walls. I brought my own dog bowls, but she had 2 bowls and a kennel if needed. She had seat covers just in case the dogs got on the couch. And outside, attached to one of the trees there is a rope with a latch so you can put the dog outside and wander around a little. Third, the lights on the deck, at night, are amazing. It really set a scene. Last, there were plenty of sheets, blankets, towels, and cleaning supplies. I highly reccomend it.

Nice quiet cabin in the woods. We had a great trip and the host went above and beyond to provide so many extra amenities at this property. We would definitely stay again.

This was our first go at renting a cabin and the entire process went so smoothly. Upon booking we were messaged by the host confirming our details. A few days before we recieved detailed instructions about check in. Upon getting to the cabin we were absolutely floored by how nice it looked. The pictures online do not do this rental any justice! The style inside is rustic, but all the amenities are modern. We loved sitting on the fully covered porch / outdoor room. Our dogs loved the soft couches and the fresh air. I loved learning thr history of The Animal House (read the book that was left on the table!) Our host messaged us about fun things to do in the area the weekend we stayed and when we advised them about a very very minor hiccup with putting out the garbage they were fast to respond with an apology and a solution. Very good at communicating and fast to respond. There was more than ample room for our bass boat and the location was only around 20 minutes from Snyders Run Launch. Along the way to the launch are all the local spots for gear, gas and food. Could not ask for a better location. We are looking forward to possibly coming back next year, it was just that well done a cabin!

We all were very happy with the stay. property was very nice. cottage was very clean. Had lots of firewood to sit and enjoy fire. plenty of kitchen essentials. would highly recommend.

Melissa's Vrbo is welcoming, relaxing, quiet. The TLC put into this home where the owner has fond childhood memories (story in the guestbook) is evident by all the little touches inside and out. You won't be disappointed if you choose this home. It is closer to Lake Raystown Resort and Tatman Run than the visitor's center and Seven Points but we only went there one day and didn't mind the drive. We enjoyed hiking and sight seeing on the east side of the lake.

Melissa is an excellent owner. She was kind, friendly and available. The premises were clean and there was not a thing we needed, indoors or out. The kitchen was very well equipped. Great area outside for S’mores and story telling. The teens enjoyed the trails to ride.

We had a very nice time and made some great memories. The property was clean and had everything we needed for a pleasant, comfortable stay. Would recommend.

This was our 2nd year staying here and it did not disappoint in any way. Beautiful, clean and so relaxing. We went to Kelly's Korner as recommended by Melissa and it was Excellent from the staff to the food. Highly recommend it to others to do so if you haven't already.

This cottage was everything I wanted and more. The cottage was extremely clean, quiet and the owners had supplied extras just in case you forgot something. The outside was also wonderful from the patio to the firepit. Relaxing by a fire at night was a great way to end the day. I would recommend this cabin to all. The owners returned all my messages immediately and answered all my questions. Thank you for a wonderful vacation.

The cabin was excellent, the property is very well kept. The cabin was very clean in a very peaceful mountain side location. Only 26 minutes from tatman run boat launch. Made for a great weekend fishing trip.

Very nice area. Close enough to penn state to make an afternoon trip. Far enough away from everything to just relax.Comfy accommodations.

It was evident that everything is maintained nicely and well-managed. We had so much fun exploring the lake and nearby towns. There is a lot to do with kids (hiking, caverns, swimming at the lake, Horseshoe curve, Del Grosso park, etc.) and our time at the cottage was relaxing and fun. We made nightly fires in the pit, hung out on the spacious covered patio, and spent a lot of time outdoors. We can't wait to return again!

Everything was clean and organized...great location....we were on the outside deck with a roof the whole time!!! All you need is your food and drinks everything thing else is there. Definitely will be staying there again!!
