Our room was bright, spotlessly clean and very well appointed. The room isn’t huge but the space has been put together in a smart fashion. In addition to being tastefully decorated, there are a number of thoughtful little touches…make up towels and a make up mirror, a kettle and coffee and tea, a small fridge, wine and water glasses, a small suitcase rack and clothes rack, two chairs and a small table. There is even a shoe horn! Many of these are small items but are perfectly functional and don’t make the room feel overcrowded. Port Villa is centrally located right on the edge of the old town and beside the harbour. Most everything is within walking distance, lots of restaurant and shops in the immediate vicinity. Check in was easy. The host, Biljana, met us at Port Villa, gave us keys to the room and information about the area. She was always accessible and willing to help with arrangements, for example, for transportation between towns. We highly recommend staying at Port Villa and would give it a 10 rating for all of these reasons but….we need to say a few more words about Biljana. Unfortunately, my travelling companion fell on our second day in Ohrid and she broke her wrist. We were able to get emergency care at the local hospital but, over a period of almost 10 days, Biljana personally helped us navigate through this medical situation. Among other things, she spoke with a trauma doctor in Skopje to help with an issue raised by our insurance company. She enlisted her mother’s help to facilitate a follow up appointment with a surgeon in Ohrid. She even removed her listing from Booking temporarily to allow us to stay in our room as we worked with our insurance company to arrange travel plans home. She was in touch with us daily, indeed sometimes several times a time to see if there was anything she could help with. So….stay here for the beautiful room and the great location. But….know that the real highlight is the host….Biljana.

First, Mrs Biljana, the owner. She is an amazing sunny person, always positive and so welcoming. Do not hesitate to follow her advises to discover the région. Second, the apartement, perfect for two couples, super clean and functional.Third, the location, impossible to find a better place in Ohrid, with a direct acces to the restaurants and Ohrid lack side. Fifth, the region and old city, a small paradise. Last and not least, the price rate is definitely correct. We'll come back for sûre. We recommand Port Villa at 200%. Guillaume

Die Lage ist wirklich perfekt – direkt am Hafen und mitten im Geschehen. Wir konnten direkt vor dem Apartment parken, was super funktioniert hat. Danach haben wir das Auto nicht mehr gebraucht, weil wirklich alles zu Fuß erreichbar ist. Das Apartment war sehr sauber und geräumig. Bijana war total freundlich und hilfsbereit. Wir haben uns sehr wohlgefühlt und würden jederzeit wiederkommen.
