Kommen Sie und genießen Sie Isle of Palms, wie wir es seit vielen Jahren tun, und seien Sie so nah wie möglich am Strand, ohne den Verkehr des Palm Blvd. Wir sind einen Block vom Strand entfernt (300 Meter) mit Zugang zum Strand am 23. und 25. Avenue. Wir sind nur wenige Gehminuten von der Innenstadt mit Restaurants und Strandbars entfernt.
Das Haus ist eines der ursprünglichen Häuser auf der Insel mit viel Charme und Geschichte. Wir haben das Haus vor über 20 Jahren gekauft und die Kinder hier großgezogen. Wir haben das Haus im Laufe der Jahre ein paar Mal umgebaut, um es zu aktualisieren. Ich hoffe, Sie werden das Zuhause genießen und einige Familienerinnerungen schaffen, wie wir es im Laufe der Jahre getan haben.
Das Haus verfügt über sechs Schlafzimmer, drei im Obergeschoss und zwei im Erdgeschoss. Zwei Badezimmer befinden sich im Obergeschoss und eines im Erdgeschoss. Im Erdgeschoss gibt es keine Stufen. Wenn also jemand, der auf die Reise kommt, eine Behinderung mit eingeschränkter Mobilität hat oder an einen Rollstuhl gebunden ist, ist dies das perfekte Haus. Die Küche befindet sich im ersten Stock und öffnet sich durch die französischen Türen zur hinteren Veranda und zum Swimmingpool.
Die erste Etage verfügt über zwei Schlafzimmer, eines mit einem Queensize-Bett und das zweite mit einem Kingsize-Bett und zusätzlichen Etagenbetten. Der erste Stock hat keine Stufen. Dies ist ideal für Familien mit älteren oder behinderten Familienmitgliedern. Die erste Etage verfügt über ein großes Familienzimmer mit einem 42-Zoll-Flachbildschirm und Surround-Sound. Die Stereoanlage ist so ausgestattet, dass die vorderen und hinteren Veranden mit Musik mit unabhängigen Klangreglern bedient werden können, während die Kinder drinnen fernsehen. Die Veranda mit Sichtschutz verfügt über zwei Schaukeln und ein Segelflugzeug, das sich perfekt für gute Buch- und Stillstandszeiten eignet.
Die Küche ist sehr gut ausgestattet für kleine bis große Gruppen mit allen Kochutensilien, Töpfen, Pfannen, Mixer, Keurig. Wir haben einen Grill auf dem Pooldeck und Propan zur Verfügung gestellt.
Wir haben zwei Veranden, die untere Veranda ist mit zwei Schaukeln und einem Segelflugzeug für die abendlichen Sonnenuntergänge und die Gewitter am späten Nachmittag abgeschirmt. Die obere Veranda ist vom Hauptschlafzimmer und von außen zugänglich. Es ist nicht abgeschirmt, im Freien mit einer Hängematte und zusätzlichen Sitzgelegenheiten.
Auf der hinteren Veranda spielt sich der Spaß ab. Es ist mit Schaukelstühlen und einem Grill für den Grillabend ausgestattet. Der Pool ist ruhig und gut beleuchtet. Wir haben eine Außendusche und viele Liegestühle für die Sonnenanbeter.
Alle Bettwäsche, Handtücher, Wäsche etc. sind vorhanden.
Das Isle of Palms liegt 20 Minuten von der historischen Innenstadt von Charleston SC entfernt. Sie und Ihre Gäste können Kutschfahrten, Antiquitätengeschäfte, Einkaufsmöglichkeiten und das beste Essen im Süden in Anspruch nehmen.

Great location, great house, great people

It was everything we needed for our family vacation. Plenty of bedrooms, close to the beach. Older construction but well maintained and outfitted/decorated/furnished. The outside shower was very helpful when returning from the beach. There was plenty of space for parking cars and rented golf carts.

My family of five thoroughly enjoyed our stay at this home at Isle of Palms. Phil communicated with us prior to and during our stay. He was so helpful with anything we needed, including arranging for the pool to be heated during our stay. We visited the SC Aquarium in Charleston one evening and then stayed on Isle of Palms for dinners out at the local restaurants the other evenings. (Acme Low Country Kitchen is fantastic!) We enjoyed having the main living areas including the kitchen on the ground floor, which made it very easy on our old lab to get around. We will definitely return!

1. Dirty underwear was found in a corner under a chair upon arrival.
2. There is mold in the shower stall downstairs because there is no fan or air vent so it’s difficult to get dry in such a tiny space with no air flow.
3. There is mold on the upstairs shower curtain as well.
4. Make sure you bring garbage bags for the bathroom cans and the kitchen trash can.
5. The cancellation policy is fluid so apparently he changes it when he wants to. I booked 10 months in advance with the cancellation policy stating that a full refund would be given for cancellation within 30 days of arrival. When I needed to cancel the host was rude and whined about it. I agreed to stay because I am not accustomed to being treated in this manner and was completely caught off guard.
6. Be aware that you will not be able to use the oven when you are there. We had to throw away food that we opened and were about to prepare until the smell of gas became so strong that it would have posed a danger if we had not immediately shut it off.
7. The host showed up on the day before our departure unannounced to cut the grass but then didn’t and it did need it. We were, however able to tell him about the oven.
8. Communication is at the hosts discretion. He doesn’t list the instructions for check in at 4pm so at 4:30 after trying to make contact regarding check in instructions 4 times throughout the day we chanced it and the door was open thank goodness. I did hear back from him somewhere between 6:15-6:30pm. He then stated that the instructions were in a booklet which we found. They state that there should be a key well, there is not. There is a code which he gave me, thankfully this time answering a text. Clearly the book of instructions needs an update.
9. Bottom line, the host seems only interested in making money but not making the rental suitable for the prices he charges. 8, 500.00 for 1 week even in this location for the headaches we had to endure were not worth it. He stated that if you contact him directly and not through the insured booking sites you can get a much better price. I cannot for the life of me understand why anyone would wish to stay at such a place for any amount of money a second time but if you are that person good luck!

There were plenty of bedrooms to go around but the common area (kitchen and living room) was a little small for our large group. We did end up cooking several meals there. We had an amazing time for our sons wedding weekend . The house had plenty of charm and amenities. Phillip was very quick with his responses for questions we had . Great weekend getaway!
We stayed at this awesome beach getaway for a girls weekend getaway. It was perfect. Tons of room and well stocked. It was a short walk to the beach and with lots of local good restaurants and short trip to downtown. We loved the quaint, quiet little town of Isle of Palms. We will definitely be back.

The house was very comfortable. It was well worn, but very charming. The location was incredible and the neighborhood was quiet and so serene! I would recommend this property without hesitation. We are already thinking of going back, with our kids this time!

What a great location with old southern charm. This home has a beach cottage vibe to it which was lovely. We had 10 adults with us. (All children were 18 and up.)They enjoyed the short walk to the beach, the pool on premise and enjoyed the walks/bike rides for other local activities. The Marina has paddle board and kayaks for rent. We were able to enjoy a day exploring the inner coastal.
It was very easy to communicate with the property owner as well. Management got back to us with in an hour if we needed anything g at all.

What a great location with old southern charm. This home has a beach cottage vibe to it which was lovely. We had 10 adults with us. (All children were 18 and up.)They enjoyed the short walk to the beach, the pool on premise and enjoyed the walks/bike rides for other local activities. The Marina has paddle board and kayaks for rent. We were able to enjoy a day exploring the inner coastal.
It was very easy to communicate with the property owner as well. Management got back to us with in an hour if we needed anything g at all.

Can’t say enough about Phil! Phil was a great communicator before and during our stay. We had a small problem with the kitchen sink clogging on our second day there. Phil was there by 10 am the next day to fix the drain and even brought us freshly caught Mahi ! A very kind and personable host. We had 2 elderly parents and 5 other adults plus an infant in the house and did not feel crowded. The 2 porches are so nice to sit and relax, pool area is wonderful. The house itself is a bit older than I expected but really charming. The master suite is lovely, bed was very comfortable. Overall cleanliness was good except the tile floor downstairs which appeared to need a good mopping. Location is perfect, away from the noisy main road but east walk to beach. My elderly parents had no trouble.
Overall, we thoroughly enjoyed our stay and look forward to returning. Thanks, Phil !

Can’t say enough about Phil! Phil was a great communicator before and during our stay. We had a small problem with the kitchen sink clogging on our second day there. Phil was there by 10 am the next day to fix the drain and even brought us freshly caught Mahi ! A very kind and personable host. The location is perfect, with the beach within walking distance and the house is not right on the busy main road, but a quieter side street, which was great. The house was squeaky-clean and had everything we needed for an awesome vacation.

We were looking for a get away for our family and a few of their friends. This house was the perfect fit! There was plenty of room for everyone and the beach access and heated pool were awesome! We came in early March so the heated pool was a win!We will not look anywhere else for our next visit to IOP, can't wait to return!
