Abgeschiedenes, romantisches und entspannendes Gästehaus in Cambria, eingebettet in die Monterey Pines der angesehenen Leimert Estates. Diese Pension befindet sich auf den Klippen oberhalb von Moonstone Beach östlich des Highway 1. Das Haus ist ein privates und abgeschiedenes 1 Schlafzimmer, 1 Bad mit Gourmetküche und Schlafsofa im Wohnzimmer. Das Anwesen ist privat, umgeben von lebenden Eichen und Kiefern an der Küste. Nach einem kurzen Spaziergang erreichen Sie den Mondsteinstrand und können den Sand nach Muscheln und Mondstein durchsuchen.
Holzböden und gemütliche Kabinen wie Interior bieten allen Komfort von zu Hause. Über dem Kaminsims steht ein Großbildfernseher über einem gemütlichen Kamin, umgeben von Ledersofas. Great spot. Very quiet and peaceful. Place was very clean. We loved it here Two items that are fixable:
1. The overhead fire alarm went off each time we cooked except when the front door and sliding doors were wide open.
2. All the windows on the west side do not have covering. We covered the windows each evening for privacy.

Very cozy and clean cottage that was perfect for our family. Our two kids (4, 11) slept in the main room just fine and we had a bedroom to ourselves. The kitchen is well equipped and we cooked most of our meals inside. Best part of the property is the location. Very close to Moonstone Beach and tons of trails. We easily made it to Hearst Castle, Big Sur, Morro Bay, and Atascadero to name a few spots. The Moonstone Beach Bar and Grill is VERY family friendly and gave us a good meal out.
The owners gave us plenty of privacy and only communicated the essentials, but made clear they were available in case of any needs. The place seems brand new and everything works fine so there was no need to contact them. Price wise, it seems like this is one of the better values in this region so close to the beach.

Karl’s cottage is a perfect blend of all things Cambria: close to the beach, hiking, the mountains, and town. We have stayed here a few times and recommend it to anyone, especially people with families and/or multigenerational or multiple groups who want some separation, as the upstairs is private and spacious and a great place for kids to play. Karl is also a wonderful and responsive host: we stayed during Thanksgiving and I forgot to bring a rolling pin, and he found one and brought it over for us. It’s a wonderful find!

My wife and I stayed 5 days at the cottage. The location is very close to Moonstone beach and Cambria, but is nicely tucked back away from Hwy 1 so it is very quite. We saw deer on the property in the morning as well as wild turkeys. It was a perfect size for just the 2 of us as it is a small cottage seperate from the owners main house. The only real negatives we had was it does not have a dish washer so you must do dishes by hand and the inside was not as clean as we would have liked with both the fixures and ceiling fans needed to be dusted and the wood floors needing to be cleaned ( you could see foot prints on the wood floors). Overall though it was nice.

This property was just what we needed. A nice retreat yet close to Cambria town and near Moonstone beach. We saw deer wandering around and the smell of the trees was amazing. Lots of privacy here. The house was very clean and comfortable. Kitchen was big enough for our family of 5. We hope we can come back soon.

We had a beautiful stay .. the property is gorgeous, very comfortable and well appointed with lots of wild life (deer and wild turkey) to take in .. privacy is key for us so it was nice to have the property to ourselves .. nature can be viewed out of every window.. we look forward for the opportunity to stay here again in the near future:)

We were blown away by the property. Gated entrance, minutes from downtown and great appliances and furnishings. Perfect spot for a base camp to explore the area. We have usually stayed at hotels for our annual trip and have tried all the usual suspects, but this beats them all.

This was a very nice place to stay. The location is excellent and great proximity to the local beaches and downtown Cambria. The place was clean and well-kept. Our kids loved roaming around the property amongst all the trees and wildlife. We look forward to staying there again in the future.

My family thoroughly enjoyed staying here. Surrounded by oak and pine, it's a beautiful setting. Very quiet and we saw deer every day. Quick drive to Moonstone and other beaches, and to Cambria for groceries.

What a lovely, charming location. The guest house I was immaculately clean, beautifully finished, well supplied. We loved the surrounding area and the abundance of birds, deer, and even wild turkeys. We highly recommend this location.

Had a great time, the rental was really clean and in a lovely area.
The only complaints are, living area needs to have blinds or curtains installed, and bathroom should at least have soap. We had to make a run to the store to purchase a few items that we felt should have been there for guests. But definitely a great place to stay. Owners have a super cute dog, that stops by and visits every morning!!

The only complaints are, living area needs to have blinds or curtains installed, and bathroom should at least have soap. We had to make a run to the store to purchase a few items that we felt should have been there for guests. But definitely a great place to stay. It's located within walking distance to Moonstone Beach, and it's situated on a beautiful property which made sitting on the porch having coffee a delight. Two things to note about this property. The entrance to the upstairs bedroom/living space is accessed separately from outside only -- this wasn't an issue for us, as our kids (who stayed upstairs) are older. Second, while there is ample stool seating at the counter in the kitchen (downstairs), there is no dining table. We identified this in the photos of the property and brought a small card table which we set up to play games and eat some meals on. All in all, a great stay -- we look forward to coming back!

Our group ranged in age from 8 to 83 and with the upstairs included there was lots of room for all. With deer, woodpeckers and wild turkeys on the doorstep; driftwood and moonstones on the beach; and friendly shops and cafes in town, there was something for everyone.

The cottage was the most peaceful spot we have stayed over many years of visits to Cambria. The location was ideal for us, close to town and Moonstone Beach but far enough away to provide solace. We were two couples and a toddler and found everything we needed. We especially enjoyed the bird life and the sweet yellow kitten who came to visit. We hope to be back soon.

We loved it here. Every thing you needed at home is here well except groceries. We rented both the top and bottom and really find the house unique. We saw deers and wild turkey every morning.
