I was greeted upon arrival by the kind and professional staff. The location felt like the middle of nature, yet still close to Udawalawe. The room and bathroom was stunning, with all facilities there. I did a morning safari arranged by the hotel, would definitely recommend!

No feedback - the tents look almost identical, so I’d say upgrading to the luxury tent is not necessarily needed. The other tents are wonderful as well!

Die Anlage ist schön angeordnet und das Restaurant ist auch sehr nett gelegen.

Sauberkeit im Bad, dadurch dass es ein Freiluftbad ist, sind Armaturen verrostet und der halbe angrenzende Wald verteilt sich auf Boden und den Badvorrichtungen. Die Anlage ist schon recht in die Jahre gekommen. Auch der Spielplatz, ist gut gemeint aber nicht gut gemacht. Das Frühstück leider etwas mittelmäßig.

This resort is an absolute gem and a must stay if you are visiting Udawalawe National Park. For an affordable price you get to stay at a luxurious glamping style resort. The rooms were clean, beautifully designed and a delight. The food was amazing from the options available to the flavour. As well the service from the staff was some of the best I’ve ever received. The big highlight from this experience was the safari we booked with the resort. If you book the safari ask for Lasantha. He is the best driver and safari tour guide ever. He really went out of his way to create the best experience for us. He is top notch!!!

Amazing value for money! Luxury stay in the jungle for affordable price. The food at the restaurant was good. And the staff organized everything from safari to transfer to our next destination. Highly recommended!

Das gesamte Personal war sehr nett und bemüht. Wir wurden sehr angenehm empfangen. Das gesamte Resort ist sehr schön aufgebaut und der Pool war sehr sauber! Auch das Outdoor-Bad war definitiv ein Highlight.

Man wird quasi ununterbrochen gefragt, ob alles passt und ob alles gut ist. Grundsätzlich ist das natürlich sehr gut, aber vor allem direkt nach dem Essen war es finde ich etwas too much!

- the rooms are beautiful and it was fun to take an outside shower. - the pool felt amazing on a hot afternoon. - we LOVED our safari with our driver Lasa. He was super friendly and knowledgeable about the animals. We saw many elephants and other animals. - it’s super convenient to book the safari directly with the hotel.

- there was a squirrel (aka a chipmunk for us) inside our room. They seemed surprised to hear about it when we checked out so maybe it’s a rare occurrence. You’re surrounded by nature though so I guess it’s normal to have little visitors sometimes.

Cet hôtel et le décor est un dépaysement.....Le personnel est parfait. Je recommande cet hôtel. Le prix avec petit déjeuner et repas du soir est très correct et varié.

We had a perfect stay at Kottawatta River Bank Resort. We used it as a base to visit Udawalawe National Park and booked a safari with them as well. The cottages are super nice, spacious, comfy, stylish, nice balcony, open bathroom. They garden is nice, the pool amazing, staff super friendly. Had a perfect full day safari and couldnt have asked for more.

Breakfast is in form of a buffet which could have slightly more options available. Coffee could be better.

Schon beim Check-In wurde man mit Begrüßungsgetränk und kaltem Tuch sehr herzlich empfangen. Die Unterkunft ist etwas besonderes. Die Zimmer sind groß und toll ausgestattet, das Badezimmer draußen war auch noch ein besonderes Highlight. Man erreicht in ein paar Minuten das Zentrum, wo man Möglichkeiten zum Essen, ATM oder Supermarkt findet. Schon auf dem Weg zur Unterkunft sahen wir Elefanten. Safari kann von der Unterkunft organisiert werden, diese haben wir auch gemacht und hat uns ebenfalls sehr gut gefallen.

Safari organised though the hotel was expensive but amazing. We had to pay entry to the park on top of the safari cost but I would highly highly recommend the safari company. The restaurant staff were lovely but the food during the safari was not good enough given the price.

There was a mouse in our room, when I told staff they didn't seem to care and then sent me really odd messages after I checked out with no apology. The outdoor bathroom is a fun touch but in the rain the steps down to the bathroom are slippery and the bath was covered in leaves. Sheets had stains on them. I wish we had stayed somewhere else.

Great location for the National Park. The staff were very helpful and friendly. Excellent value for money.

Our stay was comfortable and the safari organized by the hotel was great. Breakfast was good.

Location was quite good for the safari tour

The accommodation is very old and does not correspond to the beautiful photos anymore. Very unkempt and dirty everywhere you look closer. Hairs from the previous guests on the pillows, marks on the toilet seat, balcony doesn’t close properly, etc.. On top of that, I caught bedbugs here!! In summary very disappointing. We are very sure that you can get a better accommodation for that price! However the staff was quite polite.

Eine ganz bezaubernde Unterkunft im Camp Stil. Vor den einzelnen Hütten gibt es einen direkten Zugang zum großzügigen Pool und man fühlt sich durch die schöne Umgebung ein wenig wie im Dschungel. Zudem bietet die Unterkunft verschiedene Safari Touren an, die sehr zu empfehlen sind. Das Personal ist sehr freundlich und auch das Essen hat eine gute Qualität, sodass man beruhigt seinen Aufenthalt genießen kann.

Es war richtig, richtig schön! Tolle Unterkunft, tolle Mitarbeiter und Preis-Leistung war spitze! Die Safari mit Santha, welche wir über das Hotel gebucht hatten, war auch der Hammer!

Drumherum ist nicht viel, aber das hat uns nicht gestört.

Sehr schöne Unterkunft. Sehr leckeres Essen. Der Koch kam sogar persönlich an den Tisch und hat sich erkundigt wie zufrieden man ist. Für eine Safari musste man nur an der Rezeption Bescheid geben. Am nächsten Morgen war der Fahrer pünktlich zur vereinbarten Zeit am Hotel. Perfekt wäre noch eine Treppe direkt vom Balkon zum Pool.

Die Türgriffe sind leider sehr nah am Türrahmen. Vorsicht! Ich habe mich etwas an der Hand verletzt. Was jedoch nicht sehr schlimm war.

Les personnel est incroyablement gentil Au petit soin et très à l’écoute de votre bien être ! Le droit est absolument incroyable et pour un prix vraiment abordable , la piscine , le confort, la nourriture tout était réunis pour un séjour parfait !

The rooms and pool were amazing! The staff were really friendly and helpful! They organised our safaris for us and we had an incredible driver (Perera) who spotted so many animals and set up a breakfast for us in a great location. It was lovely to meet the chef and kitchen staff who explained how they cooked our two favourite dishes! The rooms were really clean and the beds were super comfortable! Great food and coffee / tea facilities! We wish we could have stayed longer and would love to come back again!

No issues but just an observation that there wasn’t enough hot water to fill the outdoor bath.

Such a lovely place with helpful staff members. Even for my baby they made it very comfortable for us to stay there.

Overall a very nice experience . Place is surrounded by green and nature . Staff is very very nice and always doing their best . We always ordered Sri Lankan food from the restaurant and it was always delicious . Pool is great and kept very clean . Rooms comes with lovely terraces . The resort organised our safari which was a great experience . Our driver was Gayan , he was great and also very knowledgeable . Make sure you also visit the elephant transit home during feeding times, which is only few kilometers from the resort and was also a great experience

We did enjoy the outside bathroom , although certain features of it is getting a bit rusty and is difficult to keep nice and clean . Also we had some very heavy evenings rain during our stay which made a trip to the toilet not very pleasant . Maybe there should be more cover so that it can still be used during downpours

Nádherny moderni skvele architektonicky navrzeny resort. Vse ciste, pohodlne, personal neuveritelne pratelsky a napomocny. Skvela snidane formou bufetu. Moc prijemny cisty bazen.

Excellent staff! I got a lovely refreshment and flower on arrival and they were very attentive throughout our stay. Amazing location, a little natural Oasis away from the hustle and bustle of the main road and was the perfect base for the safari. We stayed in the chalet type accommodation and bed was very comfy and the outside bathroom was really cool, a real unique experience. I did embarrass my fiancé when I dropped stick bomb, the restaurant definitely heard. Highly recommend booking your safari through the hotel. We did the half day starting at 5:30, had our own private jeep and driver and had an amazing breakfast whilst out of the safari which was prepared and packed by the hotel. Very well run!

The staff were all very friendly and helpful. Organised trip planned via Kottawatta resort to Udawalawe national park which was amazing! One of my favourite days of our holiday. The pool was lovely, bed was comfy and delicious dinner.

Wasn’t keen on the bath being outside but other than that was a great stay!

Nous avons trouvé ce lieu magnifique,les chalets sont très beaux et bien équipés. Le matin les singes sont au rdv. C est un hébergement d excellent rapport qualité prix. Le personnel, surtout le gérant est adorable et serviable.. l organisation du safari est a un prix tout a fait correct

Un lieu magique où on se sent vraiment très bien. Des lodges confortables avec salle de bain extérieure. Le matin on peut voit les singes se balader dans les arbres. Le personnel est extrêmement gentil.

Le seul point a améliorer serait de proposer un service de laundry pour le linge

Die Unterkunft hat uns wirklich sehr gut gefallen. Besonders gut gefallen hat uns das Zelt mit dem Balkon, das Outdoor Badezimmer war ebenfalls besonders. Zudem ist der Pool sehr einladend und groß. Die Morgen-Safari, welche wir über das Hotel gebucht haben, war auch ein voller Erfolg und ein tolles Erlebnis! Zudem war das Personal sehr zuvorkommend und angenehm. Das Frühstücksbuffet war reichlich und gut.

Das Abendessen hat uns leider nicht ganz überzeugt. Zudem haben wir den Wäscheservice des Hotels genutzt. Die ganze abgegebene helle Wäsche kam leider fleckig und eine Nummer kleiner zurück. Die Flecken gehen leider auch bis heute nicht mehr heraus.

Ruhiges Resort mit großzügigen Zimmern und schöner eigener Terrasse. Die Morgensafari mit dem Fahrer Sante war trotz des Regens super und hat sehr viel Spaß gemacht!! Sante hat uns die Tiere immer ganz nah gezeigt.

Die Unterkunft ist in die Jahre gekommen, besonders das Badezimmer war witterungsbedingt abgenutzt.

Super schönes Zelt mit tollen Outdoorbad. Ruhige Lage, zeitweise von der Baustelle etwas Lärm. Hoteleigene Safari war super, wir waren nur zu zweit.

Rooms are a bit loud, meaning you can hear a lot from the outside. Our room was used for keeping pool tools underneath, so this was our alarm in the morning.
