Fasgadh Rooms

Breakfast wasn't offered at this property which is fine as I didn't want it. The whole place was exceptionally clean and tidy with spectacular views out across the bay.

We got lost so were a bit later than expected. Martyn was kind and waited for us to arrive. Communicated with us promptly. The house is in a beautiful location. We had parking in front. The house is gorgeous and remodeled so beautifully. Our rooms were large and comfy. Everything we needed. The bathrooms were modern and beautiful. Beds were comfy. Martyn gave us perfect advice about getting to the ferry super early on our specific day. We barely made it on the first ferry to Arran but he saved the day for us. Thank you Martyn!!! No breakfast with this accommodation but lots of restaurants. Beautiful coastal town. Wish we had gotten there a bit sooner to look around. If you plan to get the ferry to Arran plan an extra night here to see the sights. We cut it pretty close.

Everything was great. I did need a lesson on the modern shower. I couldn’t regulate the water temperature and was either hot or freezing. I think it was user error.

Martyn was there to greet us when we arrived. This is a beautifully renovated older waterfront property with an amazing view of the harbour. Easy 10 minute walk to stores and restaurants. Room was clean, bed was comfy and the bathroom was gorgeous! Comfortable and quiet with a handsome decor. Our room was large enough for luggage storage and to move around.

Just a suggestion: I would suggest that because the floors are hardwood, and because of the rainy days and wet shoes... maybe a nice floor mat outside the room for shoes would be helpful and then an area rug in the room, beside the bed to complete the overall cozy feeling.

Fasgadh is ideally situated for exploring Tarbert & surrounding area. It is very comfortable, spotlessly clean & has views onto the Loch. The owner provides clear concise communication & prompt in replying to messages. Highly recommended.

Nothing noted.
