Location is great. But I reccommend you get a better accommodation and just take a walk along the coast instead.

We rented the Lava House, but were "upgraded" to the Glass House by the same owners, which is supposed do be better and more expensive. So, I cannot rate the Lava house. But the Glass House that should have been worth more, was definitely not worth the 600+ Euro we paid for the Lava House. So, I assume the Lava House must be even less worth the money. Breadcrumbs from previous tenants underneath dining table, fingerprints all over kitchen cabinets, cheap and old bedding, random conglomerate of cheap old furniture and decoration, mildewy shower.... All together not inviting. For that money, both the location and accommodation should be nice. Definitely the most expensive but least recommendable accommodation during our 3 week stay in Iceland.

Perfect location to explore the Snaefellsnes. The location of the house is amazing.

You are paying for the spectacular location. Hot tub wasnt working but gave us discount. Great communication with owners.

all the deception and lying both before during and after our stay. the listing showed and listed a hot tub when I booked, and every previous review I saw discussed it. we arrived to find in their guestbook that it was closed after”last season’s use.” so they knew for a long time they would not be allowing use of it and made no effort whatsoever to convey this in their listing or via other communication. the listing actually still included Hot Tub among included facilities. the refrigerator was not working either. I have photos of the condensation caused by this and if having to cool wine in a pot full of glacier runoff from a nearby stream, yet the owner lied to Booking and claimed it was working the next day. there were dirty dishes left in the dishwasher from a previous guest.

The hottub with views where awesome. Lovely house. Fully recommend.

The Lava House truly gives you the feeling of being at home (as opposed to using some interchangeable touristic infrastructure). The location in the first row of houses above the cliffs and the view across the ocean are just perfect. The house is equipped with everything you need, and the hot tub is wonderful after a day in chilly weather. Special shout-out to Sam and Daniel who are the most likeable and helpful hosts you can imagine. We‘ll be back…

No complaints whatsoever

We stay there for one night and had all what we need. A fantastic hot tub to relax and enjoy the amazing views. Thanks for all :)

Great situations, close to the ocean and cliffs were seabirds are nesting.
