Excellent stay at Vitamin Sea!
Location at the Washout (Folly Beach Surf Break) was fantastic.
Enjoyed the multi level decks and mornings with the sunrise out front and evenings up on the roof with the sunsets!
The top level outdoor space was a highlight for our group.
rented paddleboards and explored the oyster beds and tidal marshes…… just be sure to watch your tides!
enjoy surfing just a short walk from the front door.
Off season was great: no bugs and cool enough to keep doors open and enjoy the sounds of the surf.
Well equipped kitchen and we cooked dinner/ entertained each night.
Location & parking is easy….bring bikes and fishing rods if you can!

We stayed in this home for the first time for our annual family Folly Beach vacation with our adult children. It didn’t disappoint! The views from the decks off each bedroom and the large rooftop deck made the stay even more enjoyable. The open floor plan for the kitchen, dining and living space provided optimum family time together cooking, watching a football game or sitting and just admiring the views over coffee or a cocktail. The outdoor dining space was also a great space. The kitchen was fully stocked and every space was clean. The location is also ideal having beach access close by - we had to walk a block or 2 because the beach access points were closed due to previous storms and flooding -not a problem for most but my mom had a very difficult time without the usual ramp walkway. I would have given this property a 5 star rating but had to take a point off because of the unusable weathered wood furniture on all the outdoor decks. The roof deck and front deck to the main living space had additional resin furniture that was fine. We just had to be mindful of which furniture we could sit in. We will definitely stay here again.

Such a fun property in a great location! The rooftop was by far our favorite. Sunsets over the marsh are gorgeous! We will be back!

Loved the house, the best yet we have rented in Folly Beach!
Loved the location
It was cold and windy so we couldn't get to the beach but so close to Charleston we visited two days.
Two washcloths per bathroom not enough for a four day stay, I can do laundry at home.
Three trash bags not enough when you are eating, drinking, making snacks for everyone.
No WIFI until next to last day which made it hard for my daughter-in-law , hers was a working vacation.
We will definitely use this house again, can't wait to take advantage of the Great rooftop patio!!!!!

This home was the perfect place for a girls weekend! It's located about 3 houses down from public beach access so very easy to come back and forth throughout the day. The Marsh views on the back decks of the home were unbeatable. The absolute best part of the house though was the top floor! Lounging on the comfortable sectional with all the garage doors open to enjoy the summer breeze was the best feature of this home! There were a few small bugs that we saw in the kitchen area (when you're on the beach/marsh/waterfront this is very typical) but someone came out on our second day there to do routine spraying for bugs. Overall VERY happy with this rental!!

Let me start by saying two things. First, I understand that the house recently sold and probably had a gap in regular services, or at least I hope that’s the case. Secondly, we ended up here because our original reservation got cancelled by the hostess, we needed something ASAP, and this was available. We did not pay full rental price for this house because of that reason. Had we paid full rental price, we would definitely not have been as relaxed as we were with the situations.
When we first arrived, during a survey of the house, we opened the under the counter ice machine, and noticed a small roach on the door. As we walked through, we noticed a few other little flys/insects, but didn’t really think much of it. A night or two later we went to go make drinks and use the ice from that under counter ice machine- that’s when we noticed it was loaded with bugs. Since then, we noticed several more roaches and bugs all in the house, including on one of the beds that was being used.
We contacted Vacasa via their text line, and we’re told that pest control had treated the Saturday prior, and that the cleaning team would come handle the ice machine. We left for the day, and expected house keeping to come clean the ice machine, but when we returned home, it had not been done. I contacted Vacasa again, and she confirmed that the cleaning team apparently did come, but it was very evident that they didn’t actually do the main thing that was needed. I ended up cleaning the machine myself, but not for my benefit, because we definitely were not using that for the remainder of our stay.
Pest control did come back and visit later in the week, and retreated, which was good, but ultimately didn’t help the situation in the moment. We continued to see the roaches, particularly in the kitchen and living room up until we left for check out. Vacasa’s maintenance tech also came and laid some traps, but they did not help much either. Luckily we have family that owns a home on the beachfront just down the road, so the house was really only used in the morning to get dressed, and in the evenings to sleep.
Once the insect issue is taken care of, and a few other knick knacks things are done, the house would be a fantastic place to stay. We particularly loved the rooftop area.

We add an amazing time. The process to get in and out were very easy. The location was amazing and it ample sleeping. The only complaint that we had was the amount of German roaches on the main floor. We had to throw all the dry goods away when we left and check out bags to ensure they weren't coming home. They were also in the ice maker and we all watched one crawl inside my banjo. We made a lifetime of memories and I would easily go back to this place.

The views were incredible and the house was well stocked with all the necessities. The kitchen had what we needed to serve our family plus a few visitors. The only downside was the construction happening on both sides, but the workers were courteous and surprisingly, the noise was not that bad when inside the home. I would definitely book again.

A Perfect Getaway
It can be very difficult to make a confident decision about a vacation rental in a place you have never traveled in a house you’ve never seen. Pictures and reviews online can be misleading at times and I went in to this rental with all of this skepticism. I was beyond impressed with Vacasa and Vitamin Sea. First off the service and attention provided by Vacasa was stellar. Everything from directions to grocery delivery recommendations, regular check ins to cleanliness and willingness to help was top notch. And the home delivered on the promise of amazing views, convenient location and comfort making our spring break getaway an incredible and memorable experience. The only downside is perhaps if this place was a secret the secret is out. Loved Folly Beach and Vitamin Sea! Well worth the 8.5 hour drive from Northern Virginia. We hope to return before too long! Thank you Vacasa and the owners of this gem.

We had a nice Spring Break @ Vitamin Sea. House was great! It’s clean, spacious & decorated nicely. Third floor was really cool with amazing views. 3rd floor tv didn’t work when we arrived; however, management responded quickly & replaced the tv the following day. Walked right across to the nice beach with good waves for surfing. Fun casual dining & shops as you enter the beach area & Bert’s market will likely have anything you need. Bring your own beach chairs or pick some up @ the market.

Best of both the sea and marsh
We greatly enjoyed walking the beach, bird watching from the back decks (saw herons, an osprey, a crane, ibises and pelicans), and dashing to Center Street for food and drinks. The house is well suited for families, or a couple like us who love to walk the beach and enjoy watching the wildlife. Sunsets over the marsh are quite special. Folly is laidback, fun and comfortable. And Charleston is nearby for great dining and adventure.

Property was beautiful. No outside pics of house in the ad, doesn't let you realize this is property on stilts and 3 levels. Our knees were feeling it by the end of the weekend. Absolutely beautiful views from roof of property with garage doors that open. 360 degree of water. GORGEOUS!
Cable was cut, so we didn't have cable or internet from Friday until Sunday and we left Monday. That was a bit of a downer for sure. Overall beautiful.

Great location right across from the beach and right on the marsh. The bedrooms were spacious and the top floor was so pretty.
There were a few dings and dents on the walls and the tv service was spotty on the top floors but overall it was a beautiful stay. I would book again.

We enjoyed our stay, the “rooftop” room was amazing. Only a few downsides, wished we would have been told, use back stairway to enter home before you carry all your luggage up the front stairway. On last night the kitchen wall near their coffee maker and sink there seemed to be a cockroach party, my husband killed about 10 baby roaches. We didn’t cook there or have food in that area, and they weren’t there the first night. Thankfully we knew well enough to check our bags before packing because one was in my bag I left on the kitchen table. Certainly didn’t want to bring any home with me. I live at the beach so I’m fully aware that humid climates bring cockroaches but it wasnt big palmetto bugs, they were the small baby ones. Everything seemed cleaned and furniture was comfortable.

Vitamin Sea you soon!
Very clean, nicely decorated with a well furnished kitchen. Importantly…all of the beds were comfy.
The 360* room was a huge hit for my family to celebrate our sons graduation from College of Charleston while enjoying the view & breeze from the beach on one side and the view of the mash with a dock on the back side. If you have kayaks I recommend you bring them. What a great spot for fishing and just enjoying the sunset.
Thank you Vacasa for making this a great family celebration.

Beautiful house, gorgeous views, and super attentive local Vacasa team. This house is far enough from downtown to allow for total relaxation while being close enough to pop over for dinner. The rooftop is perfect for late night catch ups with friends.

We enjoyed our property, and the views and sunset were amazing. The house was nice and things were clean. Furniture was nice. We had enough bathrooms, for all of us, and enough room, however the 4 singles need to have upgraded mattresses and the gas grill did not work. All in all a very nice stay, and we loved being so close to the beach.

The house was well maintained and clean on arrival-- despite power outage when we arrived caused by an electrical storm. The power was out for a short time, and power company work was confirmed by Vacasa. If you do not mind stairs, the top view is spectacular-- of marsh and ocean. Only bad thing was lack of working grills-- would have loved to grill on the top floor or on the balcony outside the great room/ kitchen, but the portable propane grill did not work and the top floor, built in grill was inoperable. The lack of grill did not take away from the otherwise spectacular beach house. The "view" from the master bedroom shower of the marsh (through glass window) was unusual and enjoyable.
